Review: Good value for the dollar - I bought the VEVOR machine because I wasn't going to pay $5+ for a gallon of distilled water on the rare occasion I can find it, nor am I willing to replace my Keurig coffee machine annually. Our rural well water is very hard. We have an industrial grade water softener but it doesn't eliminate enough minerals to keep from destroying a coffee machine in less than a year or so. I also use a CPAP so I need distilled water for that. The pandemic has caused distilled water has become nearly impossible to find, even now during spring of 2023. On the rare occasion I can find distilled water in the store, it is horrendously over-priced. I've been using the VEVOR for about a month now. It works as advertised. Seems solidly built tho it is somewhat clunky to use. It takes up a lot of counter space while in use, so be aware of that. Unless you have a lot of counter space, this thing will probably not live on your kitchen counter. You'll have to figure out a place to stow it. That place needs to be near a sink for ease of filling with water and cleaning. You need to rinse out the mineral residue after every use. That's where the clunky part comes in. There are two AC cords. One cord connects the condenser (top unit) to the base (boiler unit), the other connects the base to your wall outlet. Both MUST be disconnected for cleaning or you could suddenly meet your maker. The base unit (boiler) is too tall to fit under most kitchen faucets. It is not submersible! You'll need a hand-held sink sprayer to rinse it out. It comes with a small amount citric acid, enough for 4 or so cleanings. You use that to dissolve and clean out the inevitable mineral build ups. Citric acid is cheap. Eventually you'll need to buy some once the limited supply they give you runs out. The instruction manual is some weirdly worded translation from Chinese into something that resembles English. But the operation is pretty obvious so you should be able to figure it out just from looking at the machine. It just boils and condenses water. It's not rocket science. The blue plastic collection bottle is poorly molded with rough edges where the cap screws on. No matter how tightly you screw on the cap it will leak unless you carry it completely upright. I suppose that could be fixed with a little bit of sanding or perhaps a cobbled gasket stuck into the cap. It's not enough of a deal for me to worry about. I'm not freaked out by a few drops of distilled water dripping out of the bottle as I carry it. Summary: It didn't cost much. If you only need a gallon of distilled water every other day or so, this unit should work out fine. It's not idiot proof, you have to be a bit careful with it.
Review: Great CPAP Water Distiller — Quiet and Easy to Use - I bought this specifically so I could stop constantly buying distilled water for our CPAPs, and it has worked great. We keep it in the bedroom and use the distilled water for both our CPAPs and my dogs’ water fountain. Using distilled water in the fountain has also helped reduce how often we need to replace the filter. I’ve run about 12 gallons through it so far, and it has been very easy to use. It’s quiet enough that I’ve run it overnight in the bedroom without it bothering me. One thing I particularly appreciate is that the collection bottle fits perfectly under my builder-grade craptastic bathroom sink, so filling it is easy and I don't have to play countertop Tetris every time I use it. After running that much water through it, the bottom of the distiller was starting to get pretty gross, but thankfully it comes with descaler. I usually use a water-and-vinegar solution when I descale things like coffee makers and my CPAP equipment, and that works well too. One thing to be aware of: the distilled water has an almost bleach-like smell when it's finished. It isn't actual bleach—the smell is from the filter—but it is noticeable. After everything I've run through it so far, though, I’m very happy with how it performs. For the price, I really don't think it can be beat. If you're buying distilled water regularly for a CPAP, pet fountain, humidifier, or other household use, this has been a great way for us to make our own instead of constantly hauling home jugs of distilled water.

## Features

- Efficient Distillation: The 750W water distiller operates at a speed exceeding 0.26GAL/1L per hour, capable of eliminating most impurities from tap water. The water distiller can distill a total of 6.3 GAL/24L each day.
- High-Quality Materials: Built with a durable 304 stainless steel interior tank, VEVOR distilled water maker is designed for reliable use. The storage container is crafted from BPA-free PCTG plastic, and all parts in contact with water use food-grade materials
- Effective Cooling: The upgraded distilled water machine's top four-blade fan is made of aluminum, replacing the fragile plastic, and the heat dissipation tube has also been upgraded to 304 stainless steel, ensuring good heat dissipation and a long service life.
- Attention to Detail: Comes with replacement activated carbon packs; it is recommended to change them regularly. Citric acid can effectively remove scale. Regular cleaning is suggested to keep the interior environment clean.
- Wide-ranging Applications: The countertop water distiller can remove most impurities from tap water, making it highly suitable for offices, homes, laboratories, hospitals, and dental clinics. It can be used as drinking water, coffee brewing water, and more.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth the value, and the peace of mind
*by J***L on April 13, 2026*

I would like to preface with the simple fact, I do not have a long standing time with this product for any sort of extended usage, what I have is such an outstanding short time with it that I felt it necessary to review. I pondered purchasing this product for a bit before actually getting it, I needed it for a diffuser because my tap water has so much sediment in it you could quite literally taste it, and the thought of purchasing a gallon of distilled water almost a day for dealing with my high altitude dryness seemed a bit overwhelming, I also want to move away from the primo trips as I am a big water drinker, so I made the leap and good god have I noticed the difference. It actively runs fast enough to keep up with all my water in take, I have been slowly filling up my primo station and consistently keeping my diffuser topped off which I have been struggling to do at 50% power with filtration and I am not having any issues with it at 100%. By the second day I looked into my tank to see the residual sediment left from the distilling process and I have been sick to my stomach thinking of what I have been consuming, granted this the remnants of roughly 3 gallons worth of processed water, but jesus, having 3 gallons worth of tap water reduced down to 1 cup of sludge is a disturbing thought. The taste is amazing, there is no funkiness, there is no metallic taste, there is nothing but good clear water. If you are thinking about purchasing it, I would do so, I encourage it, I will hop back on here if it fails within a reasonable amount of time to update this review, if not, know that I am hydrated and happy with this purchase still.
