American PlumberW5CPHD Water Filter

Due to Dynamite use by the County in a nearby Gravel Pit, my Well was partially caved in, and now requires a Filter to prevent clogging in plumbing. These filters seem to work well with 3-6 month changes.

I have to replace this filter every 90 days

Exactly as advertised. It's a bit pricey but that's the nature of the beast. I don't know why the small gasket seal for the top is removable though.

We have been using these filters for years, was happy to find this one at a lower price.

We had to install a silt filter for our old well and after trying several varieties we finally settled on this filter after a recommendation. I cannot tell you how pleased we are and how well it works. The other filters allowed some of the fine silt right through which meant we couldn't drink the water and couldn't use our washer, dishwasher and had to turn off the icemaker. After inserting The American Plumber W5CPHD filter we did have to wait 24 hours and drain the water heater but now our water is clear and we can resume using our other appliances. I believe the black rubber gasket, at the top and bottom, creates a tight seal that forces the fine silt through the filter and doesn't allow unfiltered leakage into the pipe. The price here is about 50 cents less than the local store with Prime delivery so we will be purchasing these regularly. We are very pleased with this filter.
