I can't say enough great things about this series. It's deep and thoughtful throughout. Not the usual character-gets-Uber-powers-and-fights-a-boss battle-every-episode. More of a test of outsmarting and outthinking one's opponent, skillfully spread across a complex story arc that explores the challenges many chess-moves ahead. The endearing characters and high stakes means that every move counts, and even a single failure is fatal. It's hard to put this story down.

My Manga came in perfect condition! If for whatever reason your on the fence about buying it. PLEASE DO IT! the series is amazing! and for the longest time I was reading the manga online. 1&3 are in pictures because I ordered those at the same time of getting volume 2. The art is so amazing and I still want (spoilers) to know what's the flowers are that are in everyone's chest when they die what does that mean? I can't wait to finish the entire series so I can watch the show

This series is giving me life. I'm an avid reader so if a book can surprise me, that's really saying something. I'm really rooting for these kids and am just as horrified and curious about the outside world ... can't wait for number three!
