veco chajor Electric Car Side Discharge Plug Only Suitable for MG Car EV Type2 13A Charger Cable with EU Socket Outdoor Power Station 3 Ports (Need car supports V2L)

My car manual states v2l capability and has the same discharge screen in the vehicle management system but the cable isn't recognised as a discharge cable. No matter what I try. Car in ready mode, just powered up. Doors open, doors closed. Button on the cable attachment on/off. Cable in then switch on. Appliance plugged in and switch on/not plugged in.I changed the minimum discharge limit to 20% battery. Battery at 50%. Doesn't work. So not sure if this is a cable or vehicle issue.

I received this today and unless I am missing something it does not work. Pluged into a 2 month old mg4. Three charging ports lights are dark blue they turn light blue once the button on cable handle is pressed and locks into place. Then pluged a device which I know is working and nothing. No power tried both sockets and their on off switch but nothing powers the grinder. There are no instructions in Box other than a wiring diagram. Tried the car switched on and off.UPDATE. I was missing two things. On the cars power screen switch to discharge tab which i ried but failed then i realised that the discharge min limit was lower than the charge on the car. I have done both these and just powered my mains angle grinder from the MG4 I have changed the star rating to 4 form 2 withholding the last star due to no instructions on a cable specific to the MG4 2 pargraphs wold have sorted this out. Thankfully we have youtube!!!

This V2L style cable for EV cars that allow bi-directional charging is very handy if you need one. It only works on Chinese made cars which does limit its use but lucky my neighbour works for an EV leasing company, so we went around a few cars to test it which it did work fine on an MG and some other Chinese brands they had.The main cable is nice and thick just like your standard EV cables and the type 2 connector was a good snug fit. I love the button on the top to turn it on and this also magnetises it to the car so you can pull it out until you turn off the lead. However, the one issue I did have was accessing that button is a little tricky, so it needs to be moved further down the handle really.The dual 3-Pin power sockets each have their own switch to turn them on and off and it powered some camping bits no problem when I used it recently.Overall, for £99.00 It’s a nice well-made cable, it just needs the power button moving and a little deal on it to make it better value for money and get 5 stars.
