I love these so much! They come in a really beautiful package with a drawstring fabric pouch to store. These are too fun and a great addition to marble runs, even if you only have magnetic tiles, you can make amazing things with them. My kid loves them, and loves having so many more marbles than the ones his marble run set came with. The colors are absolutely stunning!

By themselves they can be a bit mundane but add them to a Connetix Starter or Mega Pack and they will help create bigger and better builds. The magnets in Connetix tiles are big and strong. The tiles are riveted at the corners to ensure they stay together. They are made with food grade non-toxic plastic. They are very durable and there are no sharp corners. The tiles in this rectangle pack run almost $4 apiece. When comparing to other brands, and even other Connetix sets, it’s much higher than most. The benefit here is that many of the tiles are so much bigger than standard size tiles. This set is Made in China, and comes in a nice, reusable cardboard box. It also includes an inspiration book with some ideas to get started. Overall, this Connetix Pastel Rectangle Pack is a premium, high-quality set that will enhance creativity and play.

My kid played it tonight. The one word comment is "meh". Pros: 1. quality look good. Well built. 2. Can quickly build a large size object such as castle or a house (like the product pictures shows). 3. Provide a inspiration book with some idea example. Cons: 1. This set alone is not playable. You need to buy other pieces to build any meaningful things. In contrast, if you buy a set of common magnetic blocks, you don't need to buy additional blocks. 2. Too bulky (some people might think this is an advantage since it is easy to build a large project as mentioned in Pro 2) 3. Not flexible enough. I put some magnetic blocks in the pictures as a contrast. These pieces alone can't build much thing. it can also not build many shapes as having multiple squares in one rigid piece. Overall, I am (so does my kid) underwhelmed by this product. It is an interesting idea. If you have lots of its sets, it could be fun. However, my home doesn't have room for such big pieces any more. I prefer to buy more magnetic blocks if I have to instead of this one. 2.

The magnets are strong and so I wonder if a 3-year-old could really have success with this set, and I say 3-year-old because that's what it is rated, 3 and up. I'm assuming someone else here will have a little 3-year-old and comment. I do like the set. I only have rectangle pieces, and I can say, I wish I had some other shapes :) It's a beautiful presentation, the storage box. They include an "inspiration booklet," good thing. That booklet is broken down in categories, i.e., Nature, Structures, Transport, etc. I think they did a real good here, especially if one is willing to add to their initial set, which you'll probably have to do.

Who doesn't love to play with magnetic tiles? They are so much fun and versatile and can be used for just about any game. I love that these encourage creativity in my little ones. Most of the kinetic tiles that we have are square or triangle, so I was very happy to receive this set with rectangular kinetic tiles. The colors are a very soft pastel. The magnets stick together tightly, so my little ones can use them to build whatever they want and not worry about them toppling over before they finish their project. These pair with all the other magnetic tiles that we have. This is a huge set that is well worth the price.
