If you're going to need to use the same underwear all day, I'd recommend also wearing a pad. If you're just out for the night, you can likely wear without additional protection. The issue isn't so much the leaking but the odor.

My wife loves these. They give her the protection she needs. They fit nicely with plenty of elasticity and the waist is high enough. Very comfortable.

These are comfortable and soft to the touch to wear. They're pretty basic looking but the soft muted colors are attractive. I laid them on a towel and slowly dripped water on them and they absorbed a decent amount before leaking onto the towel. These work great as added insurance for a heavy period and are comfortable to wear.

I don't write reviews, ever. but these are worth the price you pay. at 70 I'm still working and tired of dripping till I get to the bathroom. no more damp pants, problem solved and very, very comfortable.
