DMC 1008F-S415 Shiny Radiant Satin Floss, Pearl Grey, 8.7-Yard

Arrived 3 days before due date. DMC 1008F - S976 Shiny Radiant Satin Floss - Golden Brown, 8.7 Yards. Excellent Value for money. Super quality of floss that you expect from DMC. Beautiful shade of brown. Love the shimmer of this floss.

I used this to do some visible mending on my trainers. It's got a real sheen to it.

What I wanted

Since the pandemic, I refuse to go out of my house. Too many people refuse to wear masks, therefore are endangering those they come into contact with. Since I don't go out, I can't get to JoAnn's to buy embroidery floss. I used the silver floss to embroider initials on a custom quilt I made for a client. See the photo.

This is very pretty thread with a lovely sheen, but it is really hard to work with. Consider using shorter strands and conditioning it with something like Thread Heaven- . Note that this is 100% rayon floss and is DMC's replacement for their older Rayon Floss line. The number of these threads match regular DMC with the addition of S at the beginning. (To convert from the old Rayon Floss numbers, just delete the 30 at the front of the number and change to S. Eg. 30931 becomes S931.)

Beautiful floss - it really pops in my cross stitch pieces and is very shiny! Doesn't fray easily and is smooth to work with. Highly recommend!
