Absolutely Sweet Beautiful Tale of Acceptance & Love
What an absolute delight this book was to read.A sweet, beautiful story of love & acceptance, of two entities from different races & cultures falling in love & trying to find a life together despite sometimes insurmountable odds & trials. And the author's subtle & skilled writing is what makes this tale so flat-out enjoyable & emotional. She builds a wonderfully envisioned world to life & peoples it with fully fleshed fascinating characters you care about, are invested in as well as a plot that keeps you on deliciously enthralled tenterhooks.Beautiful, sweet, romantic, loving, spicy & just wonderful!!

That was an adventure
This is an easy and simple read that is very fast paced. The world is just complicated enough to keep things interesting without bogging the fast pacing down at all. I definitely loved Doug and Jasmine. They are very noble characters in a world full of awfulness. This is definitely a touch her and die book. Doing is hyper possessive and protective while also being a complete push over for Jasmine. The steam is awesome. I’m eager to try more from this author. I could tell some other storylines from this series made some appearances in the plot but my not having read them wasn’t a big deal. I’ve not read her poly stories. Very good all the same.

Best one yet!
Monster stories are not usually my favorites. I’m a gal who prefers barbarians over orcs ;-) However, Gentling the Beast is my favorite book in this series so far. There’s all the sexy steam, which is a given in this series, but also action and suspense, great stories, and so much subplot. It’s also a longer read than most of the others (I’d give an extra star just for that). It features and expands the stories of characters from the earlier books and ties their storylines together. I wanted to skip this one. I am so glad I didn’t. If you like this series, DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!

Stuck between 2 or 3 ⭐
Plot wise, this book hits the mark. It is really cute and simple. Following a human girl who is a slave to the fantasy world, struggling to learn how to live after being kept in a safe village. Never experiencing the real dangers and suffering of being a slave to orcs. The male orc, is mute and deals with a lot of unhandled emotions due to not being able to talk. Many not liking him due to his strange skin color and shift form. What makes me struggle with this book is how far off from the characters the plot actually gets, taking you through the Adventure of them taking care of a child fairy. Which no offense, she Never really did anything to actively care for that child. Most of the scenes with them together is her knitting or something.I understand the concept, they're stuck doing these things to try and earn their freedom while not dying. But it just moves way too fast, pushing well over 8 plots all into one book. I had a really hard time following along to the storyline of this book just due to how much they had going on within every chapter.By the time it got to the wolf shifters, I was basically lost. Skimming through pages hoping to understand it better if I kept reading, and overtime I understood what was happening. But this in turn made me take breaks from the book, and spend well over a week struggling to read it without giving up.Doug was definitely my push to finish this book, as he was my favorite part of the whole story itself. His personality, his traits and details, to his 24/7 private monologue that aren't so private. 😉Once he opens up out of his cocoon of fear, he becomes this amazing character that does his own thing as the book carries on.Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️Plot: ⭐⭐

One of my favorites
I've been making my way through this series, and this has been one of my favorites. Not going to lie, this was a lot more emotional than I had anticipated. I cried a few times, and was filled with worry as to what would happen (not with Doug and Jas, as it is made clear they love each other, but with outside forces). A great read that I highly recommend.

Stand alone
It was a little long and I'm not really into the "historical romance", but this was enjoyable. The intimate parts were very well done.

The dirty talk...*Chef's kiss*
For an orc that can't talk... his mouth is filthy. And I loved every word. Not much else to say here; excellent writing even if we did time jump, place hop and part ways suddenly with established characters that left me scratching my head feeling random. But the MFC and MMC are totes and the spice is through the roof!

Loved their story
Such a sweet story between Jasmine and Doug. I love that they both have overcome so much to find their happily ever after. It is so sweet.

Doug and Jasmin!
So happy to read about Doug and Jasmin, such a nice story to read about survival, resilience, romance, action, steam and how love can be found in the strangest of places. An Orc shifter beast with a good heart ❤ and his human mate, some of the characters of previous books make an appearance in this well populated and increasingly well developed world. Good read, fits well in the series, recommended! 👍😊🦄

Um versão nova da Bela e a fará.
A história te prende do início ao fim, cheias de aventura e te cativa pela história do herói e da mocinha.

Loved it!
Didnt't even read it, when it came out, because the blurb didn't really appeal to me. But I actually loved Jasmine and Doug as a couple and their relationship. Plus I absolutely love (!), that for once the MMC doesn't have to look perfect. Ever notice, that FMCs get to look curvy or a bit 'plain' and still be adored, yet MMCs still always need to have perfect bodies and faces?I feel like the author really progresses in her books, I enjoy the last couple of books a lot more, than the first ones. Probably because the relationships feel more equal to me, while still having that 'dominant vibe' that we all enjoy so much ;-)

4.5 stars
Not as exciting as some of the other stories in this series, so for that I’ve knocked off half a star.A nice plot and I loved how it tied in to a couple of previous stories from the series too.Nice characters and I actually really liked the MMC.
