Q: is there any warranty on the tines/ blades from the manufacturer

I don't know about the warranty, however, the tines are substantial and very unlikely to break.

Call EnrootProducts or go to there website they sell parts for it.

Q: Does this pull up or destroy established grass? Or is this product more like an aerator and place holes?

Definitely does not destroy the grass. It places holes that only go deep enough to allow a seed good depth for germination. So really doesn't aerate in the traditional sense either. It works as advertised. I would argue that an extremely light layer of top soil over the stitched area may be helpful.
