This chair arrives in two pieces but assembly is easy, especially with two people. The base is heavy, so I'd suggest getting it close to position before putting on the top. The fabric is a creamy beige color, and softer to the touch than it looks. The recline mechanism works smoothly although there is only one true position- fully reclined. You can move the footrest into a partially up position and the weight of your legs will keep it from going all the way up, but if you reposition then it will probably pop up. Similarly, once the footrest is up, the back wants to recline most of the way back. The swivel and glider functions are smooth and silent. I'm 5'6" and I am extremely comfortable in this chair. My husband is 6'3" and the top of his head is higher than the back of the chair so for him to be fully supported in the reclined position he needs to use a small pillow. If I were buying a recliner for a nursery I would love this one for it's color and fabric, but I'd probably prefer a chair that had higher arms for added support while holding a baby. As it is, I love it in my living room. It is obviously a recliner, but not a hulking oversized one that would be too big for our space.The chair arrived sooner than expected which was a pleasant surprise. I had received a message from the seller that I would get a text message before it was delivered, but that didn't happen. Since the driver didn't have a hand cart, it was fortunate that my husband happened to be home to help him carry it up to our garage.

The chair arrived quickly and was easy to put together. I was so excited. It looked perfect in the spot I had for it. But it rocked terrible. On the back of the glide it shuttered and clicked like it caught on something. A very irritating catch in the back swing. My husband tried to fix it so we could avoid sending this heavy thing back, he improved it, but it still does it. I decided I wanted to exchange it. But when I did the return they wanted to charge me for shipping to return a defective item!!! No. That’s not ok. I was hoping for an exchange, but I feel this is unethical of this company. Do not buy this. Ordering furniture from Amazon is probably not the wisest thing. Problems become quite difficult to resolveEdit: the company reached out to me and refunded my shipping fee and gave me a $100 credit, which I appreciated. They suggested trying a lubricant to resolve the issue. I’m not sure that will help but I do appreciate their suggestion and offer.

The leather is very soft. Everything is excellent quality for the price. Really enjoying this chair:)

FedEx delivery created an emotional weekend. Showed up unannounced, left messages they would return next day. Stayed home all day. No show! After several calls said delivering on Monday! Came unannounced on Sunday. Fortunately we were home!!!

I have learned that buying a chair without sitting in it doesn’t work for me. Not a comfortable chair nor a good value for the bucks. I will not return because it is too much trouble. However, it was easy to assemble. Thank you.
