Work great for creating custom holiday light displays
I have been using these to create a custom holiday light display. I love that I can add a plug mid-wire if I need to run a jump wire to a new area. These are easy to install and so far have been holding up well. Have purchased multiple times and will be buying more as I finish up my display.

Like many I put up my Christmas lights and didn't pay attention to where the male end was. I know I know rookie move, but these came in clutch. Worked great and I didn't hafta remove all the lights and redo them!

Just make sure to use it with SPT-1 Cable, Is not going to work with SPT-2

Self piercing
A few years ago we bought a nightlight display at a flea market. We needed a second one. These sockets worked great, they look like the ones that came on the original display we bought. The 2 parts slide together smoothly piercing the electrical cord as they do. The only drawback is my extension cord was wider than the opening for the cord to lay in. We have had the cord for many years. I don't know if newer cords are slimmer. I just sanded the cord until it fit. Just be sure you don't expose the wire itself, or take one of these with you to the store and find a cord that fits..

Just works
I was able to create a custom wire with 1 male and 8 female plugs for connecting led rope lights in parallel.You can pull off the tabs on female plugs for wire to go out in continuation. very happy, saved me money of buying extension wire witch are twice the price now.

These are perfect packages for what I needed them to do, which was make LED extension cords for my Christmas lights

For use with spy-1 wire
Easiest way to add plugs. Used them on indoor window candle lights. Didn’t like excess wire, so just cut to length and added plug.
