Great endoscope
Used this to find a wire behind plasterboard. Very easy to use, very good clear screen and it feels very good quality. Works perfectly with no glitches, more than could be said for the phone plug-in one. Easily worth the money.

Good product, slightly let down by absence of image capturing
The Depstech endoscope inspection camera has a 5m semi rigid cable with a 2 mega pixel camera on the end of an 8mm diameter stalk. The screen is approximately 6cms across the diagonal with a 4:3 aspect ratio and is very sharp. The endoscope has 4 buttons underneath the screen, there is the orange power button which requires a long press to turn the unit on or off and there are two buttons for the zoom feature which supports 1.5 and 2 times zoom, the fourth button controls the light around the edge of the camera, there are 3 brightness settings plus an “Off” setting. There is a USB-C socket on the side for charging the device from a 5V power supply, the appropriate cable is included. The endoscope should give you 2-3 hours runtime, which is the same amount of time that it takes to charge. The endoscope has holes on the bottom of the handle for fitting a hook or strap which could be useful when working on a car. The picture quality is very good even in a low light environment without the camera light turned on, although in the latter case there is noticeable noise. I did not find the zoom feature to be of much use, preferring the 1:1 setting. The endoscope comes with two accessories which attach to the end of the stalk, a hook and a magnetic pickup. I found that the magnetic pickup blocks most of the image since it is directly in front of the camera. The uses for such a device are almost endless, I could have done with this unit when I was trying to get at a clip on the back of a turbo unit in my car, but other planned uses are to check around the back of my washing machine for leaks, checking the sink, examining what is blocking the guttering down pipes and possibly checking the flue of my gas fire, because birds keep building nests on top of the chimney. The thing that I don’t like about this endoscope is that there is no facility to capture an image or video, this would be useful because it is easier to see things on a larger screen and you may want to give a third party an image of a problem that you wish them to fix.

Simple but yet effective
This endoscope simplicity really stands out - just turn it on, point outwards and you are good to go. The rigid cable insures you can easily maneuver the camera into tight spaces for inspections. The adjustable light has 4 brightness settings, adding to the disability in the darker spaces. Although I have noticed, that the brightest light setting might be too bright to the point you won't be able to see items too close to the camera. The package includes two and tissues such as a hook and a magnet, which and toitem usability for retrieving small items. The device offers 1.5x and 2x zoom option, which proves very handy in some situations. The only downside with this product I have noticed is the fixed focus lens which may result in blurry images when the item is too up close or too small. One notable feature I have really appreciated is the slot for memory card. This allows to transfer picture to your computer for later analysis on a larger screen. Despite some minor drawbacks, the device is well worth its price tag, making it a recommendable tool for various tasks, from DIY projects to inspecting hard-to-reach areas.

Very handy and good clear screen.
I've had an endoscope on the past that connects to my mobile. It was a bit faffy and the app was never that good. This one has the built in screen which is really handy and easy to use. Very simple, press and hold on, it loads up and away you go. Zoom in and out with plus and minus buttons and turn the light on and off with the bulb button. Press and hold to turn off. Couldn't be easier. It's a nice clear picture and the unit isn't overly bulky. The cable is thin but can be bent to a shape to get around corners etc. I'll mainly use this working on cars but it's also handy around the house.

useful live observation of hard-to-reach places
A fantastic device: So easy and intuitive to use I didn't even need to read the instruction manual. Press the "on" button for 2 seconds and you're off. It's really useful to get an eye on hard-to-reach places. On top of our second storey window there's a gutter with something blocking it, so we used this to see what was going on without having to climb up with a ladder. The camera is on a stiff semi-rigid cable so it can hold its position without you having to hold it the whole length of the way. I can see it being useful for seeing what's going on at certain places like on the roof, gutter, in hidden boarded up spaces in your home, or looking under the floorboards without having to lift them all up. Also useful for checking out the internal mechanisms inside machines or plumbing systems without having to break them apart. I suppose it could even be useful for hobbies like exploratory caving. It's not intended for medical use but you can have a peek at hard-to-see areas using this like to see something on the back of your head, on your back, or behind your ear or somewhere like that, that would otherwise be quite tricky to view. There is a light by the camera which you can leave off, or switch on, to brighten up the area, which is useful if you're looking somewhere dark. There are several options of brightness you can use. It is a stand-alone device. I'm no video-expert but I can't see an obvious way to record what the video is showing. It seems to be more of a live observation device. All in all, well-made tool with a wide range of possible uses.

So I gave this 5 stars because it works great and does what it says it will but boy did it not work in my situation. I needed to find the blockage in my sink pipe but every time the camera touched any sludge I immediately couldn't see anything and I mean it was pretty much as soon as it got a foot in the pipe I was blind. SO for everything else ive used it for in the house or garage its worked great, just not for why I originally bought it. Picture looks great and the cable was very long
