AS.050 Slim Manual Folding Rain Umbrella – 38" Canopy for Rain, Travel Case Included

I got this for a trip to a country with a lot of rain. It was great for travel due to its light weight. I think it weighs less than my cell phone. Also, it fit in my small purse so I could easily take it along when I was out all day touring. Though small, it is still large enough to be functional. I also like the slim flat/rectangular folded shape which fit well in my luggage. I didn't need auto opening and closing. What I needed was light weight and this was perfect. I trust this brand to be good quality so I should have it a long time as long as so I don't leave it somewhere!

Lightweight and compact. Great design.

It's much more compact, light weight and fragile than I expected. It's so compact, it collapses into a form factor that almost fits into the back pocket of a pair of jeans. That gives you an idea about the trade-off required to make that happen. The grip and shaft feel flimsy, the plastic feels cheap. I don't expect to umbrella to last long, it certainly is a backup you keep with you at all times, but not the umbrella you deliberately grab when you know it's raining cats or dogs. I'll keep it for exactly that reason. I am not sure it's worth the asking price. I will update this review next spring when this umbrella had a chance to prove itself in Seattle's winter months.

Bought this to replace a travel umbrella that I had for over a decade that finally broke. Bought this to keep in my work laptop bag permanently so that I would always have it while traveling for work I like that if folds flat but for this price it should really be auto-open/close. It also feels very flimsy. We'll see how it holds up over time. Was considering one of the larger ones with auto-open/close for the car but I will be reconsidering that purchase now. Update: The umbrella broke on the first day of usage. The retaining mechanism that keeps it "up" will no longer stay up. Very disappointed. For the price I paid I expected a lot more than 1 use. I contacted Knirps to get a replacement using their 5 year warranty and I was told that it only begins after 2 years and the first two years are the responsibility of the seller. Totally bs. Do not buy from this company. They don't even stand by their own products.

I bought a Knirps umbrella just like this one many years ago--at least 10, I'd say. It lasted for a long time before finally biting the dust last year. I like how compact it is when folded, and it is sturdy when open, too. Excellent compact umbrella to have in your bag.

I recently bought this small manual umbrella and had mixed feelings about it. I really loved the design, and the flat, slim shape was perfect for slipping into any bag. But when I held it, it just felt so fragile, like it might break after only a few uses. As much as I wanted to keep it, I couldn’t get past my concerns about the quality, so I ended up returning it. It’s a shame because the concept is great, but it just didn’t feel sturdy enough.

very nice and small and lightweight to carry everyday. Folds back if wind shifts, it dont break, this is true quality.
