I got this external hard drive to supplement the tiny hard drive on my gaming laptop. I could have just installed another internal drive, but that’s a lot of trouble I didn’t want. It works extremely well, and while Steam downloads are a tad slow (large game, USB interface, or network speed could have all been the culprit), I did not see a lag time when actually playing the games. The product’s form factor is small, somewhat armored, and lightweight. I also bought a hard case for it, as my setup has to be portable. I am quite pleased, overall.

Iv bought this 2tb external to replace my old one that just stop working. Fast delivery and came in undamaged. My series s recognized the external soon as it was plugged in. It works and have no problems. I bought the original black 2tb wd-black.

Love these drives. I've had many of them and have never had any issues with them. After losing many other drives (and all my data on them) in the past I decided to go with these since they have a reputation of being pretty much the best at not getting corrupted. It's well deserved. It's super simple to use, and compact, and quiet. Everything you'd want in an HDD drive. Definitely good for things beyond gaming, even though that's what they're marketed for.

I wanted to love this HDD (and I will probably repurpose it as my back up drive for my gameplay clips), but Microsoft promises if you format an external drive in NTFS you can record longer gameplay clips and store it directly on that drive w an XSX. yeah that wasn't true. my old PS4 Pro could record up to an hour's worth of clips directly from the console. This is 9th gen? come on MS. I ended up getting a capture card. Just get an Elgato HD60X like I did. save yourself the trouble if you're an Xbox user.

This hard drive is extremely versatile — perfect for gaming and general use alike. I mainly use it with my laptop, and it performs flawlessly, offering fast transfer speeds and reliable storage for both games and files. Since it’s built specifically for gamers, it feels more durable than standard external drives. The metallic shell does an excellent job dissipating heat and provides decent protection against light impacts. Of course, it’s still a mechanical hard drive, so it’s best to handle it with care. I was also able to register the product on the official website (with the seller’s help) to activate the full 3-year warranty, which was a great bonus. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the performance and overall experience.

Nach meinem jetzigen Stand, ein paar Tage nach dem Kauf, eignet die externe Festplatte sich gut. Ich habe sie gekauft, weil der Speicherplatz meines PCs voll war. Ich habe bereits ein paar Spiele auf der Externen Festplatte installiert und ausprobiert, ob das Spielen funktioniert. Aus diesen Versuchen kann ich folgendes sagen: 1. Die Externe Festplatte verbindet sich schnell und einfach mit meinem PC 2. Die Installation der Spiele von Steam auf die Externe Festplatte funktioniert reibungslos 3. Die Spiele lassen sich schnell und zuverlässig öffnen 4. Das Spiel läuft ohne zu ruckeln und ohne Fehler 5. Die Externe Festplatte ist nicht lautlos, sobald man Kopfhörer aufsetzt aber nicht mehr zu hören, da sie Recht leise ist Fazit: Für Gamer empfehle ich diese Externe Festplatte sehr, es besteht ein gutes Preis/Leistungs Verhältnis

I wanted this external hard drive to replace my previous one.Its alittle bit more price wise,but im happy to pay the extra for it.The other brand of hard drive kept getting faulty,that I was using,so I decided to try this one .I found it easy to install,I wanted it to store my Xbox One games for use on Series X.So far im very happy with this hard drive and it runs great,is very quiet too.Looks really good connected to my Series X aswell.In future i think I will stick to this brand of external hard drives.
