Annie Lennox Collection Sony Gold Series

Annie Lennox's greatest hits collection contain a good mix of her top hits from the 1990s and the millennium. I remember being introduced to her music as a teenager (through the "Walking on Broken Glass" music video that was shown on VH1). The video is very creative because there are many actors and actresses that are wearing costumes that are affiliated with the nobility of 18th century Europe. The songfacts websites lists that the video is inspired by the "Dangerous Liaisons" movie. Both Annie Lennox and John Malkovich gave good performances in the "Walking on Broken Glass" music video. I am definitely now inspired to check out the "Dangerous Liaisons" film, and the song "Walking on Broken Glass" is fortunately contained in this collection. Disc One contains many of the 90's classics of Annie Lennox and Disc Two contains many of her millennium hits. The third edition is the dvd that features the actual musical videos for the songs. One of the musical tracks that is an additional favorite song and video is "Little Bird" (also on both the cd and dvd). "Little Bird" is about a soul wanting to soar to great heights in life, and transform all obstacles into stepping stones to their dreams. The video to "Little Bird" is fun to watch because there are many people shown playing as Annie Lennox doubles. I also like the costumes and the theme of breaking free via the idea of dancing that is prevalent in the music video. Annie Lennox's greatest hits is best to obtain for those who enjoy any of her songs and/or 90s/millennium music.

A customer wrote "buy the import" and they were right. I love the DVD and my favorite video is "Shining Light" theres a gospel/pop sound about the song thats just makes me smile and the visuals are well, puro Annie Lennox acting it up in her happier moments. The other end of the spectrum "A Thousand Beautiful Things" is touching... She goes through all the range of emotions and Its just a thoughtful collection of her music well put together. Its a treasure, Its a keeper. Buy it.

Es una muy buena compilación, dividida correctamente en 2 cds. El audio es muy bueno. La calidad del DVD no lo es tanto comparando los videos que trae con los que tengo de Totally Diva, pero para mi, vale la pena tener esos buenos videos.El libro es muy interesante, cada canción tiene un comentario, y las fotos son de buena calidad. No me gusta la caja de cartón, me da la impresión que va a rayar los cds o dvd.Is a great compilation, divided correctly in 2 cds. The audio quality is great, but in the DVD it isn't as compared to the Totally Diva's DVD... anyway it worth to have all the other great videos.The booklet is quite interesting, each song has a comentary and the pictures are in great quality. I don't like much the carboard box, it seems to me that it gonna damage the cds or dvd.

Disk one of this collection was great. Unfortunately disk 2 was not playable. It had a disk error every time I tried to play it. Amazon was great at taking it back. I did not order another in case it happened again.

Love it although the case a bit rough on the CDs so it scratched easy :( but the album is epic ♡♡♡♡

I'm a huge fan of Annie Lennox,and I LOVE this collection it's Annie at her best!!!

Great collection and a good assortment of rarities on the second disc. It's nice to finally have these videos on DVD! NOTE-This import DVD is NTSC and is playable on US players. This was the main reason I bought the deluxe edition as the DVD is not available with the US release. The booklet however, is glued in by it's last page which warped it since it's not card stock, why bother?, I would have preferred it to be loose. The only thing that would have made this better would have been a few of the remixes that were done of some of the songs since not all of them were easy to get domestically over the years. Here's to Annie making enough new music to do fill another retrospective in the years to come.

What a collection of songs! There may be singers out there with bigger hits in their catalogue, but there are few who can boast of the degree of excellence that Annie Lennox has achieve in her art. This collection touches upon those elements. For the uninitiated it's the best example of what she has accomplished as a solo artist.

Una compilación imprescindible si eres seguidor de esta diva, con sus mejores canciones y vídeos y rarezas que son una delicia para los oídos.

c est un cadeau cette compil car on s y attends pas d abord le premier cd qui est tres bien termine avec deux tres belles chansons et de pus inedites puis le deuxieme cd ou la il est fait qu avec des inedits et tres tres bien fait on dirait un nouveau album car toutes ces chansons sont bonnes . une etoile en moins pour le dvd car il est nul il faut voir les clips au fur et a mesure ils ne s enchainent pas et vous avoues c est penible de refaire appuis sur play apres chaque vision dun clip de plus pas terrible les clips sauf le dernier qui est plus joyeux . bref l achat vaut le coup pour les deux cds . bravo la production et bien sur la superbe annie lennox
