Hello, this evaporative swamp cooler that I purchased from Amazon made by Mountman has been great. The fan on it is really strong and it holds a lot of water so you don't have to refill it that often. When I had an issue, the people at Mountman replied quickly and helped me with my situation. They have great customer service for sure! It has a remote control and can oscillate the air from side to side. You can also point the vents up and down if you want the air to go higher or lower. The fan on it is really strong. It comes with four packs that you can put in the freezer to help drop the temperature of the air even colder. While it can work in more humid climates to a certain degree, it works best in dryer areas of the country. You can easily roll it around with the rollers on the bottom. The water in the tank last for quite a long time when you fill it up, so you don't have to keep refilling it all the time. It is also easy to dump all the water out and put fresh water back in. I would also recommend letting the fan run without the cooling function for about 15 minutes after using the cooling, this is so the wick in the back can completely dry out, avoiding potential bad smells. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to cool down their homes and the customer service I have received has been excellent!

Opened the box, no protection inside at all except some styrofoam. No type of wrapping at all either. Noticed right away fingerprints, smudges and scratches on the display panel. fingerprint's all along the sides. Tried to wipe away the fingerprints the best i could but theres noticeable scratches. Hard to tell from the photo but it’s pretty bad. I figured i’d try it instead of returning it right away because i live in Texas and it’s HOT! So i set it up, poured pitchers and pitchers of water in it trying desperately to get to the minimum water line, going back and forth repeatedly in a hot house just to use this thing.. finally fill it up but now i have to wait for the ice packs to freeze lol so i just use the fan mode, only for it to blow hot air. So once the ice packs were frozen, i put them in, turned “cool” mode on. Gets cold for about 2 minutes and then its hot again. The temperature it displays is ALWAYS in the high 70s sometimes 80s which is ridiculous for a almost $200 product. And the user manual is riddled with typos and sentences that don’t make sense.. also, i dont know the sellers claim this to be quiet but this thing is LOUD even on the lowest setting. If this thing wasnt such a hassle to return, id return this junk right now. So now i guess i have a used $200 paperweight. Please people, do NOT buy this. It’s not worth the aggravation

It works for the most part but I've been noticing in the corner on the bottom it has been leaking water. Has not been damaged and doesn't appear to be cracked so unsure why or how the water is leaking out. Have noticed it leaks faster when I turn on the cool feature.

This is an update: They refunded our money. We were very happy in the end that made sure no one walked away from a purchase unhappy. Obviously, this is not an air conditioner with a compressor but it is actually a nice unit with a decent fan and it will blow slightly cooler air and it is very inexpensive.They refunded our money and it was an easy process. Thank you.Where do I start about what a mess this whole process has been?First, we had issues finding how much water to add to the cooling unit because the fill line is very difficult to see. No where in any video or instruction manual did it say how much water to add, just add to the fill line which is not easy to see. Our unit subsequently leaked water all over our wood floor since we over filled due to not being able to see the fill line. What a mess cleaning all the water up. Also hard to drain all the water out to ship back.Second, the unit was too noisy to sleep even on the lowest speed.We decided to return the unit. So far this process (which is not yet resolved) has taken more than an hour of our time so far. The Seller (Mountman) did not get back to us within 2 days as Amazon said they would to send us our RMA label. Afte waiting 2 days with no RMA label sent, we had to call Amazon to sort this out which took about 20 min because we got an offshore person with a strong accent. Amazon rep told us she would reach out to the Seller to send us an RMA label. We have to wait 2 more days to see if Mountman gets back to us with an RMA label so we can ship it back for our refund.We should have known this would happen buying anything this cheap from China.PS Note to Amazon, please have reps iin your US Call Centers that speak English well enough to understand.

Our apt has windows all around and it gets really hot when it’s sunny, I use this for my small home office and works great I don’t have to turn the AC while I am working.

Keep me cool

This cooling machine doesn’t work in the heat of Florida. I wanted to give my AC a break during the summer month since my electric bill gets so expensive. I thought this machine would help. Unfortunately it is a waste of a purchase. It adds to the humidity in my apartment even with a dehumidifier running. The first few runs, as the manual states, creates a very foul chemically smell which goes away after a few months of use. It is now taking up space in my apartment. I could see this being effective in a very small room angeled right at you to keep you a few degrees cool(er). I used this for my living room and it didn’t keep my apartment cool.

I now see that the item is working as expected, as I said in my earlier review: "I will test it for some more time to see if it works fine else I'll return it". Turns out it was an error on my part. Had not discovered how the "Mode" feature worked. Now I do and therefore proceeded to change that review because it is unfair to the Manufacturer. ITEM IS WORKING AS EXPECTED. One thing I'd like to add though is that the - manual booklet - is not sufficiently clear, it should be more detailed but other than that everything is good.
