Q: Do i need a specific router for this or would any router work? Can i use an asus router with wifi disabled and use 3 of these for wifi?

Yes you can. This AP doesn't need a specific router. Disable the ASUS wifi and use this one.

Q: How is this different from the EAP 620?

The EAP620 HD is designed for high-density (HD) environments due to its higher simultaneous connection rate. More devices can connect to the EAP620 HD at once than the EAP610. Where the EAP620 HD can support up to 1000 concurrent users, the EAP610 supports 80-100 concurrent users.

Q: Can this mesh my stock att wireless router so it's a single network or will it create its own network separate from my att router?

It's technically a separate access point, but if you set the SSID and password the same as your existing ATT router, your devices should connect to the one with the better signal. I don't believe it does actual meshing though.

Q: Is this powered with an adaptor or through poe? is this also vlan aware?

It can be powered through an adaptor (included) or POE. Pretty sure VLANs are possible, but I don't use them so I haven't tried. I'm running the Omada controller on a VM in my home lab.
