Install them instead of sodium lights after ballast removed work just fine as parking lot light

Insects can shorten the life of this LED corn light.
Purchased and installed 2 of these corn lights outside my home in two locations 3.6 years ago.Performed perfectly during this time period.This week noticed one of lights began flickering. The side lights were off and the bottom lights were on.Replaced both of these lights today and discovered that the lights heat vents were packed half full of insects.I'm not a rocket scientist but I'm a research scientist and believe the insects allowed the unit to over heat and fail.I live in southwest Michigan and during the 3.5 summer months we have insects attracted to light. I read all the reviews and not one mentioned this problem. Hmmmmm?

Loud fan
The media could not be loaded. I bought eight of these not even a year ago. It is about 11 months ago and two of the fans are already making this ridiculous noise and they are at the point where I am about to take my shotgun and shoot them. This is ridiculous.

These lights work great . The color is perfect and they are about the same brightness as the LED that cost twice as much. Will be buying more for the back of the shop
