Great steamer small reservoir
This is kind of a love-hate purchase. The steamer works fine and I love the buttons on the top si you can use your feet to turn on and off or change the steam from high to low. It's nice to have a light that shows you whether it's on or off because I have killed a steamer in the past by forgetting to shut it down. However, the reservoir is really small and if you use the higher steam then you are refilling the reservoir at least once for every load of laundry.

Good quality
I purchased the Steamfast SF-407 Fabric Steamer on Amazon a couple of weeks ago and returned it because it was cheaply made. I ordered the Salav to replace it and when I received it, I couldn't be happier. The quality of materials is top notch and assembling it took a minute. I love the retractable cord (my 2 year old son won't be able to plug it in). Also the hose is insulated so it doesn't burn you like the Steamfast hose. All in all, it works great. Used it once so far to steam 7 dress shirts. Worked quite well on them. Saved me a lot of time from ironing.

Love it! - working for 10 yrs now!
I have this steamer for 4 yrs now and I love it! It is easy to use, dual bar really help, it does not leave water on your clothes and it folds. The steam is very hot, so even tough wrinkles are coming off but be careful not to burn yourself. Update: I have it for 10 yrs now and it is still working fine. I cleaned it with water and vinegar 3 times (maybe) in 10 years, and it is fine. The only issue that happened - hose base, got unscrewed from inside, so i opened it up (unscrewed the bottom of the machine), screwed it hose based back on and closed the machine and it is working fine.

Easy to use!
Love this steamer! It is easy to use, fast at heating up and does an excellent job, couldn’t be happier; the only thing is that the trouser clips do not hold bigger (heavier) pants, so I have used my own hangers for that.

Very Good Steamer
I've used garment steamers for quite a few years now, and they've become a must-have for me. After my steamer I had before this one died on me within a year, I received a complete refund. They didn't make that steamer any more, and I'm very glad they didn't because I found this steamer, and am much happier with it. Pros: 1. The water container is nice and large, and is easy to fill. 2. The steamer produces more than adequate steam for just about any garment. 3. The hangar is great, and I use the clips quite a bit. 4. It's attractive. I was so happy to have white and silver as an option, rather than the usual blue and white. 5. It's very light weight. I'm not a very strong person, and I have no problem picking it up and moving it around. Cons: 1. I would love it if the hose was longer. Maybe some day, some manufacturer will actually pay attention to all of us who find fault with the hose length and actually do something about it! 2. The foot pedals are a bit too high. I'm not sure why they did that, but it's kind of awkward. 3. Even if something happens to it while in warranty, I found out that it would cost me almost $50 to mail it to their repair center in CA. When I told the customer service rep that I would probably just buy another steamer rather than pay that much for shipping, she gave me the impression that they would work with me on that. Overall, I really like this steamer and would probably buy it again if it died on me. ***A few words about extended warranties**** I highly recommend buying an extended warranty for steamers. With one exception, the ones I've had have died on me within a couple of years, and that's pretty horrible. If this one dies on me after a year or two, I know that Square Trade will make it right. No, I don't have any connection with Square Trade other than the fact that they've made good on warranties I've had with them.

Sorry, but I have to tell the truth !!
I am a 1st time buyer on Amazon, the overall experience was great in terms of the ordering process, and the delivery was spot right on ,It is really beautiful looking, very professional. But here's my issue, the explanation about the product led me to believe as a" new buyer",,that this was going to be the Answer to the wrinkles in my clothes, YAY no more long ironing board, and NO more ironing !! I do not leave my board up, nor do I iron only 1 piece at a time, I wait until it is worth my time ,and effort, to set up the whole process. So with the explanation that SALAV gave about the product, I went for it, I did NOT buy the most expensive model, nor did I buy the least expensive one, I went for the" middle of the road model", so all that being said, I expected the steam to at least come out as fast as my tea kettle, but ,to my disappointment it came out as much as my Cup of tea ! maybe not even !Seriously !! maybe mine is faulty ?? I did everything according to the directions, and also used distilled water !! But what I can say is, that it took me 2 hours to steam a few items, to make them look nice enough to wear out in public !That's what I meant by my expectations were too much! But they should be , I think ! This product should meet a buyer's expectations when the explanation given is such Has anyone else had the same experience? or is it just the one that I bought, that is so slow ? The temp of the steam is okay, it just comes out waaay too slow and takes forever ,and who wants to spend allot of time standing, and steaming ?? OR ironing for that matter.not me !! Thank you, but so sorry !!

Waste of time and effort getting this - sold by Amazon in the UK (yes, .co.uk for Amazon, delivery to the UK, price in £ etc etc) - arrives with 2 pin plug. Can't use an adapter as it couldn't cope with the UK 240V. Spent an hour trying to find a solution with Amazon. Short answer, return it. Bought a Sabi one from a UK supplier, but not great performance, so it's back to a steam generator for me.

Overall, this is a great steamer, but it has a few cons for which I removed a star. Pros: -Incredibly fast "start-up" time. -Absolutely great at steaming cotton shirts, and any shirt's sleeves. (sleeves almost looks like its been pressed) -Nice retractable power cord. -Really sturdy dual bar frame, does not wobble. -Long running time, I can steam 5+ shirts and 5+ pants without needing to refill the water. Cons: -Have to drain the unit using its drain plug that is ~1cm off the floor. (but the unit is lightweight, just have to remove the dual bars and lift it into a sink) -"Cheap" looking hose that will kink unless you hold the steamer head upright. -Doesn't really steam the front/backs of my shirts well on the stand unless you pull the shirt, or steam it on an ironing board. As for the steamer not being able to steam the fronts and backs, its really only lacking some tension, or something behind the shirt to press against. If you pull the shirt, or steam onto a ironing board, 1 pass is all you need to get all the wrinkles out. It is incredibly good at taking out wrinkles once you secure the shirt without it flapping about. My main concern for the longevity of this steamer is its hose, its a really soft foam that feels like it might rip after extended use, but only time will tell.
