ASICSWomen's Gt-2000 5 Running Shoe

I had been wearing the GT 2000 2 in a size 9 2A for a couple of years and it isn't made anymore. I also use the New Balance Insole for Pressure Relief. I had been able to find some 2000 2s on line and noticed that the last two pairs of 9s were too short. With my narrow foot, finding running shoes that fit well is very limiting. I tried the GT 2000 4 in a 9.5 2A and the overall length and width were ok, BUT the heel wasn't snug enough. I felt like I was slipping out of it. I decided to try the 2000 5 in the 9.5 2A and I have my old 2000 2 back! The heel fits so much better and the overall fit is better than the 2000 4 and I do like the color that the 2A comes in better than the 2000 4.

I over pronate so this is just what I need. I have bought the 2100 series and now the GT-2000 series for a few years and they have never steered me wrong.So far I love this pair of shoes. They are comfortable and really live up to the Asics name I'm used to. I thought it wouldn't be breathable enough because of the new design on the sides, but it really does well. One thing I thought would be concerning was that the tongue material isn't smoothly flush with the top of the shoe it's sewn into. I thought I would feel all that material rub against the top of my foot while I ran, but it's been a few months and I don't feel the material at all. I heard that the shoe runs small, so I ordered a half size up, and a wide shoe just in case. It's great and I can't wait to take this pair through a race or three.

Cool colour, very snug around the toes. Fits about half a size smaller than normal. Great feel otherwise

too small... returning. ASICS please get your sizing taken care of. My first pair was a size 8 about 2 years ago/ moved up to an 8 1/2 for my 2nd pair/ last pair (GT 2000 4) were a 9. I actually tried the GT 2000 5 on in a shoe store and they were perfect. Ordered from Amazon and WAY TOO TIGHT in the toe area. I had an Amazon Gift Card from Christmas so thought I'd use it for the GT 2000 5. Not a smart idea. They are being returned.I walk/ run about 4-5 days a week 3-4 miles a day so like to buy new shoes on a regular basis. Unfortunately, I may have to change to a new brand~ too many variations with fit with ASICS.

This shoe runs very small. Ordered the 10 and had to return for a 10.5. However, this is the BEST shoe I've had in a long time. Very narrow, which is perfect for me. Lots of flex in the ball of my foot which is great since I'm a ball striker and my heels don't hit the ground much. Awesome for waking too.

Very disappointed with Asics right now. I have worn this model of shoe for years, and have never had a sizing problem until now. I bought the 8.5D, which is a half-size bigger than what I would normally buy, and they still feel too small. I compared the insole of this pair with the insole of an older pair of 8D's, and they are exactly the same size (confirming to me that the sizing changed). Even with that, this model still feels narrower through the forefoot than before. The plastic logo on the sides also covers more surface area than years past, making them much less breathable. Maybe that makes the upper less stretchable? Maybe only the wide sizes have changed? I don't know, but I am disappointed that I can't buy my favorite shoes anymore.

5 stars! It was a close call between these and the Brooks adrenaline shoes. Ultimately I ended up keeping the brooks because they were the slightest bit more supportive/comfortable. Love the color options though in the asics way better, and I deffinetly will probably buy these in the future because they were neck and beck with the pair I ended up keeping. Brooks colors are so wild 😝

Great shoe but fits a little smaller than the Asics 2100 series. Order a half size larger.
