ColumbiaMen's Plateau Waterproof Hiking Shoe

I purchased 2 pair of these recently and am extremely happy with my decision. I bought the black pair for work, because I work in the bar/club industry and drinks get spilled all the time. Absolutely waterproof, and comfortable for a long shift on my feet. I also bought the brown and black pair for my outdoor use and they haven't disappointed either. Crossed a small running ravine on a fishing trip over the weekend and dry as a bone when I crossed in each direction. I may order a 3rd pair because I like them that much

As many reviews have said, these ARE small. I normally wear an 8/8.5 men's (wide, where possible). So with me being kind of in-between sizes I thought maybe them running small wouldn't be an issue. I was ALMOST right. Got the 8.5 Wides and they were very comfortable and I didn't even notice they were just a little too tight, until a few days in to trying them on.Ended up getting the 9 Wide's and they fit great! These might be the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Despite being labelled as hiking shoes, I wear these for work, where I spend A LOT of my time on my feet. So yes, buyer beware in regards to size. Otherwise, these shoes are fantastic!

This hiking shoe checks off all the boxes for the most part. Light, waterproof, good traction. Just be careful because the shoe comes very narrow. So be aware of this before purchasing. Otherwise good quality and value for shoe.

High quality product but had to exchange for one size bigger than I normally wear. The exchange was easy and I’m very happy with the comfort and appearance of my shoes.

I was always a fan of Columbia shoes. So excited for this to try on as I liked the regular or non waterproof version. The fit was good as expected. However very disappointed to put in mildly, because these are not waterproof. After a few minutes out in the rain (and under an umbrella), my feet were wet, specially the toes - soaking wet. Wish I tried them on as soon as I got them. I would have definitely returned them.

I'm a dependable 9, but the forward area is very tight, not wide enough. I'm even thinking of even buying a shoe stretcher if they don't loosen up soon. Length is fine. I have 3 months before I NEED them. I Like the looks and style, waterproof is necessary. Rains a lot in Northern Ireland, my trip is in the spring. but if I can't wear they 8-12 hours, I made a mistake. Don't say I need a WIDE size shoe, I have never had to buy one of them. Gary

I strongly recommend you read the reviews on this item. Others have said these run a bit small, and also find them just a bit tight. I ordered size 8.5 (I normally wear 8.0). However even the 8.5s are a bit cramped. I recommend ordering a full size larger than normal or expect toe cramping and blisters. That being said an excellent price and (thus far) well constructed. Sharp looking kicks!

The shoe is a very odd fitment as it's properly sized for overall fitment in the toe box and width, but the shoe is nearly impossible to get on!! With laces nearly as wide as they can go, it is still near impossible to get your foot in without a major struggle. Not really uncomfortable when finally in, but if I had to guess the engineering for the instep is way too shallow from top to bottom. A terrible shoe from a company with a history of great products. If I could I would send them back.

I’ve been wearing Size 13 footwear for 30 years, including other shoes from Columbia. For these guys the fit was too tight. That said, returning them was painless, and the same shoe in Size 14 are one of the most comfortable walking shoes I’ve owned in a long time.One minor thing is that there’s a soft “crinkle” sound from a plastic layer within the shoe. Barely noticeable, though.

This is now one of my favourite trainers for walking. It's very comfortable and shock absorbed. Also its waterproof so you can walking rainy days. One-off the best trainer's made by Colombia.

Comfortable, smooth, looks lovely, haven't had it long but feels durable and I honestly believe this might be my best purchase this summer.I recommend this to everyone, it worth the money and overall good purchase
