Great DIY. Not for professional
Hose is just like any other air hose, does the job. Reel is a little small for 50 ft, so when you’re winding back up the hose and isn’t lined up perfect, might come off track. Biggest issue is that you cannot replace the hose. It’s fit into the reel making replacing the hose not possible. So when the hose gets a hole or needs replaced, the whole thing needs tossed. After writing this review, received word from the support team. Tried to troubleshoot the issue. Ended up sending me a whole new reel. Very impressed by customer service now.

TB15BPLUS
I just installed the tb15bplus air hose reel. I had lag bolts and washers to install it on wood 2x4 thatis anchored to my garage wall. It is a light weight unit. I pulled the hose out and it reminded strong and smooth. It seems to be the ideal hose reel for my home garage. The operation works well. Time will tell how durable it will be. I have been looking at hose reels for a while and choose this one over the ones at harbor freight, home depot, Lowes etc. I am happy with the compact size and weight. The swivel helps to be able to mount in locations that you normally wouldn't be able to.

Great Value for Home Garage Use
The Giraffe Tools TA15B air hose reel has been a solid addition to my home garage. The 50-foot hybrid hose is flexible and durable, making it easy to maneuver without kinking. Installation was straightforward, and the auto-rewind feature works smoothly, keeping the hose neatly stored. The steel construction feels sturdy, and the 300 PSI rating is more than adequate for my needs. Overall, it's a reliable and cost-effective solution for keeping my workspace organized.

Broken after only 2 months
The only reason I'm giving it a 1 star is because the actual hose itself is thick and pretty good quality. For reference I am a Mobile detailer so I wind and unwind the reel about 2-4 times per day. I have so many complaints about this reel. I had such high hopes for something from such a reputable brand and was so excited to finally upgrade to an actual high quality (or so I thought) hose reel upgrading from my Husky one that I bought the previous year that developed bubbles EVERYWHERE and was ready to blow at any second. Firstly, the actual spool for the reel is too short. It needs to be about 2" deeper, or to be enclosed. I find as SOON as it gets some slack in the line the actual hose starts to wander outside the spool and wrap itself around the lead hose multiple times and can be incredibly frustrating because you have to unplug your lead hose and untangle it just to get things back on the track which is never an issue I encountered with my cheap Husky reel from Home Depot. Secondly, more of a me thing, but the mount itself isn't very long and doesn't have much gap for the hose. Mine is not mounted and I put my foot on the mount to pull from. I can only put the tip of my toes there because if I put my foot there normally the hose starts to catch my shoe and unreeling becomes an issue. More of a personal problem. Thirdly, this reel doesn't come standard with Teflon tape at the screw points. So if you don't do it yourself beforehand you will be leaking air from every crack and crevice in the thing. Finally, this reel is INCREDIBLY picky. There are multiple safety precautions that I followed to a T AND STILL FAILED AFTER ONLY 2 MONTHS!! It states to unplug the reel and let the air out before winding back up, and to not pull the reel beyond a certain marked point (about 3 wraps of the hose or maybe 4-5 feet or so). I followed all of those instructions RELIGIOUSLY because I didn't want to ruin it and I was otherwise very happy with my purchase. Despite following rules stricter than some of the HOA's I work in it still failed horribly in only 2 months. The hose still holds pressure, and from a functional standpoint still works fine, HOWEVER, about 10-15 feet of the hose doesn't even wind back up! So I just have 10-15 feet of slack I have to manually wind up outside of the reel in order to even store it which defeats the entire point of a reel! It's meant for ease of use and keeping things tidy in a smaller work environment, and I now have neither. If you try and manually feed the line back in it hyper extends it and spits it back out at you so there's literally nothing you can do to make it better. It's quite literally just F***ed. It's a shame because I've only heard good things about Giraffe Tools and as soon as I saw they offered a hose reel I was sold. I had really high expectations and was really let down to see things fail so quickly. The hose itself is FANTASTIC quality and photos don't do it justice for how nice the color is, but it's just hardly usable in it's current state unfortunately. I'm not trying to slander the company, or talk down on them in anyway. But I am disappointed. Maybe I just got a defective unit or something who knows. But I run a pretty tight budget and can't afford to replace a hose reel every few months and need something reliable that I can count on. Just unfortunate.
