Really easy to install., no issues

Fits beautifully under our rv stairs creating an extra storage area to secure tools.

Easy to install. Smaller than I anticipated. Seems well built. I appreciate the extra storage that was just wasted space! Recommend.

This is a decent box but not perfect. It has the same garbage cam locks you find everywhere in the RV world - you can jiggle it open with a paperclip. But it's a standard size and easy to replace (we rekeyed all our storage bins with tubular pin locks, which aren't perfect either but are better). The mounting is a little less solid than I'd like. It "hangs" on two brackets that you install first, and then you put a screw in each side that's more or less a friction-fit to press against the brackets and firm everything up. It works OK but it's not very sturdy - I would recheck the torque regularly, and lock-tite everything. I don't see a specific weight rating but it's just one simple box made out of what I'm guessing is 18ga mild steel so I wouldn't load it with more than 35-50lbs max. My biggest issue is the sealing. The door closes with an "overlap" lip around the box, which is a good start, but it's definitely not great at keeping dust or water out. I drilled two small holes in the bottom panel to let anything drain if needed, and I plan to add some thin weatherstripping around the door lip. It's a box. It's the right size to fill that spot. So it's not perfect, but if that's what you're looking for, this is it.

Owning a travel trailer storage is huge issue. Have seen this product in ride past when I remove the stairs for the upgraded step above a couple of years ago. Finally decided to pull the trigger on it. I wish I would have done it earlier. Brackets went in fairly well. Box sits in place with ease. The only issue that I had is that. The access for lowering my spare tire and a stair light were behind the box. Easy solution I cut a 1 inch hole on the back of the box and use a rubber grommet that can be removed when access is need for spare tire access. Simply rerouted, the light and everything worked out perfect. The initial installation took less than an hour rerouting and cutting in the hole took roughly another hour. with the box being located under the trailer, they are two holes in each corner, where the metal was folded over which I didn’t like. I used the simple tube of silicone to make sure that it was water tight.

We chose the storage box for a number of reasons. The number one reason was ease of installation. Yes, installation was a snap. I had already removed the original steps. That task was easy as well. Took about 30 minutes. The other more expensive brand would have never worked because of the design of my camper. All of the under carriage is covered including the frame. Back to the installation. It only took about 20 minutes. I did have to hacksaw the bolts from the original bracket to allow the door to close. Not a big deal. This box is not near as heavy as the other brand. But it is very well built and is perfect for storing those first items you need to get set up. I put in my leveling blocks and wheel chocks . I am very happy with this purchase and will recommend it to my fellow campers.

First off fit and finish was perfect. Package came about 2 days early which was super nice. Took it out of the box and first thing I noticed was the quality of it. Built very sturdy and super easy to read instructions. Very simple install. Took me about 15 mins to get it all hooked up and ready to go. My only complaint which really isn't one would be the fact that it's only a key to get it open. Would be nice if it had a handle on it that you could lock or not lock that way you wouldn't have to always have the key with you. Other than that it was a perfect fit and I am very happy with it.

I like this product and it is a great solution for utilizing the space left after installing MorRyde's A Step Above RV steps. I'm using the storage box to store leveling blocks, which are always dirty or muddy. Having them readily available outside when dropping off the RV makes a lot of sense. Only negative is that it was quite difficult to remove the old steps and install this storage box. MorRydes instructions say "Remove Old Steps" which requires drilling out 4 mounting large steel rivets. Then to install the box required more drilling to get bolt holes to line up with old holes in step bracket mount. But, that said, end result was worth it. Just be prepared to do some serious drilling in steel.

The storage box fit perfectly and was easy to install. Extra storage is always a good thing!

This is a relatively inexpensive storage solution that fills a cosmetic blank space very well. Install is very easy with only basic hand tools. I'd have given 5 stars if the 1/4" tension bolts that are meant to stabilize the box were longer (should have been an inch or so longer). Also no seal around the lid means water and crud that might wash in with it will find its way inside. That's not going to bother anything I keep stored there (wheel chocks and blocking) but seems like a low-dollar add for a little more storage flexibility.
