Practical, Profound Life Resource
This book is both practical and profound. It’s loaded with research-based guidance and principles to help you navigate the messiness of our humanness: How to deal with difficult people, restore broken relationships, build self-efficacy, resilience, confidence, empathy and even character. It will help you decide if your life is on the right path, whether you were wondering or not! And if your wonder sparks conviction, it provides a road map and inspiration for climbing your ‘second mountain,’ one that is aligned with your purpose and gifts. If you don’t feel like tackling another book right now, buy this anyway. Then when you’ve failed at something, or found yourself in conflict or anxious or down, you’ll be glad you have this uplifting resource. Every chapter ends with a step-by-step summary to help you through your turmoil. And if you need inspiration to dive deeper into self-development, just open to chapter 9 and learn how teacher Yesenia Aguirre uses her unexpected career as an Uber driver to connect, heal and encourage her passengers. Or jump to chapter 17 and see how young Juan Pablo Romero Fuente has transformed his impoverished community by refusing to accept the suffering and human stagnation surrounding him. You’ll end up reading the whole thing anyway. You’ll be grateful you did, as will the others in your life.

One of the best personal growth books I've read.
Joe Hart and Michael Crom are uplifting and inspiring. The stories are from a diverse sample of real people from across the globe. This book is a must-read for anyone wanting to take command of their thoughts and emotions, their relationships and their future. This is the book Dale Carnegie would have written now if he were still among us.

An absolute read for future leaders!
Taking Command is a message that all young, aspiring individuals should pay close attention to. The book demonstrates through real-life stories of today's young leaders how they took command of their relationships to deliver on their goals and form better relationships with others. The Dale Carnegie proven principles coupled with the new ones introduced, make this a great tool for individuals of all ages. It is a very relatable book and one that I look forward to passing on to my kids, the future generation of leaders.

A three-phased approach to personal success!
The Take Command book by Michael Crom and Joe Hart provides a three-phased approach for achieving personal breakthroughs. What I appreciate most about the book is its "inside-out" approach to success. First, it starts with our thoughts and how we see ourselves, then how we build meaningful relationships with others, and thirdly, how we impact our world through those meaningful relationships. Finally, if we dare to "Take Command" in the areas recommended in the book, we permit ourselves to have fulfilled lives by living out our dreams and desires.
