It’s larger than my old slicer so enables the eggs to be sliced vertically and horizontally. Excellent idea, as I used to get c10 round egg slices of which c4 slices were all egg white, but with this OXO slicer if you slice from top to bottom all of the oval slices have some yolk in them (see photo). It's an EGG slicer, so don't rate it poorly or be dissappointed with it, if it breaks when you attempt to use it for something other than what it is intended for.
