Works well and inexpensive
Works well. I don’t know how accurate it is, but I really wanted to know the difference between panels on a vehicle which it does well. I can tell the diffence easily between original paint and respray on a car where I know about where the thickness should be.

Non English Instructions
Non English instructions (looks like Russian), not accurate, failed to operate on paper and gloss surfaces. Waste of money.

For the reviewers that rated this item good, can I buy the drugs you're smoking???
Lot's of good ratings and reviews. I;m just not sure what they were reviewing. Don't get me wrong this gauge was extremely easy to calibrate, display is easy to read and the size is just perfect. However when it comes down to it's intended purpose it sucks. Even in the instructions it states that in "Auto" mode the accuracy is low. So I used it in the other two modes only to find that they were inaccurate as well even when measuring the calibration slate and film. nothing is consistent. On my own car I was getting readings of 0.02 through to 0.07 mm. All While making sure that it was held correctly every single time. Figuring it may be my 5 year old car, I drove down to a Toyota dealership and tried it out on their brand new cars along with some Lexus models and yet again inaccuracy and inconsistency plague this device.
