Q: Hi the photo looks like cast iron but the description says it is made of pressed steel can you please confirm. thanks

Had one of these a few years ago, construction is cast iron, apart from the handle brackets, which are pressed steel (and a tad flimsy). Just about to order another one, brilliant!

Q: How wide is the cooking area?

36cm diameter approx. Great for BBQs for 2 - 3 people. Love it, 2nd one I've owned, lasts for about 6 yrs. Easy to assemble. Small enough to store over winter. Could be portable if necessary. I use either charcoal or wood on mine. Steak cooked over wood is just divine. After cooking remove the grid and hey pesto a mini fire pit.

Q: Hi - how do you set the bbq up inside the pot belly? I see there is a rack under the cooking rack?

Hi Alice, the charcoal goes on top of the small rack, directly beneath the food rack. The pot belly catches the ash and the door in the front acts as a damper to help control air flow like a solid fuel fire, which is handy, because you can throw some wood on it after the sun has gone down and enjoy the evening by firelight. Q: Does the grill plate not rust if left out in the rain? I am imagining having to clean off rust before every use. Is this the case?

The whole of the BBQ will rust if left outdoors uncovered with it being made of cast iron. I usually clean the grill plate straight after use and then brush it with cooking oil and place it in a plastic bag all ready for your next BBQ.
