Used this Lenovo Slim Tip to USB-C adapter to connect to a PWR+ Lenovo Round Barrel to Slim Tip adapter to power a Thinkpad X280 with older 65W/95W/135W Lenovo power supplies that I had from prior Thinkpads. The two adapters worked superbly to power my new Thinkpad with a 65W charger. While I'm about to try with a 90W and 135W power supply next, I broke this adapter in with a 4 hour run testing my newly acquired x280 and I did not have any issues with it. The USB-C end plugging into the laptop got hot but not worryingly so. It really does feel very high quality, being made of metal on both ends and with a nylon cable between. I definitely recommend it and will update if I feel otherwise.

I use it at work so I don't have to bring my power supply
My office has plugs for the older ThinkPads we used to have but now allpir computers use USBC plugs. I got this so I can use the power supplies at the desks and not have to get mine out. It works great!!

This item is garbage
This was used on my back up charging cable. I only used it about 3 times since installing it and it already has a short. My prior one lasted 2 years. I tried to escalate with the seller but the link is broken. I was traveling when this happened and it left me in a huge bind. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Frequently returned item
Let the customer know that wattage has to match the Lenovo computer for things to work. The Lenovo has a sensor that will only allow the male plug on the cable to work only if the wattage matches the max wattage of the computer.

Don't buy a new laptop charger
With this adapter, you can use a laptop charger with the yellow square, on a laptop with a USB-C connection for power.

Charges a phone, not a laptop
Bought this so that I could use my 85w charger from my old laptop, with my current USB C powered laptop that only needs 65w. While my phone charged fine, my laptop wouldn't even register it at 45w.

Exactly what it should be
The media could not be loaded. I needed a emergency power adapter from the power cord to the laptop, because I never received a plain power cord for this laptop, and I had to work the next day without having my c to c cord from the dock to the laptop.This does exactly what I wanted, for that day until I got a new c to c cord.
