Q: I note that one ingredient in this soap is triclosan which the fda has banned in soaps. the uk normally follows suit. is this safe to use?

Hi I didnt know about the ban of the chemical Triclosan. But thats part of the Carboulic make up of this type of soap. I purchased to use abroad in Madagascar as a preventative/deterant against various bug bites including Mozies. Yes! it worked as well. I really like this product to use, it lathers wonderfully and you feel so squeaky clean. Its a pleasure to use and I will go on buying this particular one as its better quality to some others I looked at.

Q: Does this dry out the skin? Is it suitable for demodex mites?

It dosnt dry out your skin, its pleasant to use. As far as demodex mites you would need advice from a medical source or manufacter. I used it when travelling Madagascar and some 3rd world places as source of protection.

Q: Dors it contain carbolic acid like proper carbolic soap?

Yes, I belive it does. You can certainly smell it when first opened, but strong odour does fade after a day or two of it being out of the packaging. Hope this helps.
