I bought these to use because of the NRR being the highest available of the type and the fact that I already have hearing loss. With foam type plugs, I have to have someone shout in my ear to hear a conversation.When I first put these in and went into the wood shop, I wasn’t sure they were working well. However, once firing up both dust collection systems and the table saw I found the louder the noise, the more attenuation you get, which is the intent of the design.Though muffled I can still hear the radio in the background and with less equipment running I can leave the in, enjoy the radio and talk to anyone who comes into the shop. Perfect for my needsAs far as those who indicate they fit poorly or are uncomfortable/painful, they must not use hearing protection much. The go in easily using the same methods for most any other in ear protection and the silicon is super comfortable.Highly recommend for your noisy hobby shop, mowing, etc.

Disclaimer that I have not tried other products besides traditional full-range hearing protection so I have no point of comparison. I have had these for a few months and worn them for a few concerts and other places that are high-noise settings (loud bar, etc). The ear buds are physically comfortable to worn for a long time. I have small ear canals and even the large size one is quite comfortable for me. The smaller size did not feel quite as effective but equally comfortable. The carrying case is slick and easy to pocket (in the men's cut jeans I wear).In terms effectiveness, the buds seem to work quite well. I usually find myself noise sensitive and these cut the pain, the noise level, and prevented any lasting discomfort. They still provided authentic sound which was good especially for concerts.In terms of value, I would say they are well worth it. This is a high-quality, well designed product and really, it is hard to say you hearing is worth less than $17 (price at time of purchase).I would recommend this product!

I go to a lot of concerts and have religiously worn "ear plugs" since the early 90's. They were just that though, plugs. They were the type you could buy at any pharmacy chain for a few bucks. They just plugged up the sound and had no sonic definition. These "ear filters" were exactly what I was looking for. A product to reduce the decibel onslaught from Wayne Kramer and the MC5 to a safe level but still provide a sound definition. I've seen other products advertised but at a higher price point. The fit was excellent and the comfort level was perfect, didn't even notice that I had them in. The only drawback I found was removal. I felt that the removal tab wasn't big enough for my fingers to grab and had to work at it a few times. Not a deal breaker though because the product performance was excellent and I am now aware of the fact that I'll need to position it just right for easy removal. The included carry case is a great addition too. Overall I am very pleased and this is an excellent product.

Finally saw a movie theater movie, which is usually painful due to the theater volume level. At first these seem to let in too much volume, but they don't. You can hear the dialogue fine and the painful noises are attenuated just enough to be comfortable. I am pleased with these.

Didn't work well.

My son is young and plays drums. I am old and play guitar. We like to play metal together but wow does it hurt my ears - goes right to the root of my molars. I was using foam earplugs but I couldn't hear myself at all. I saw another product pop up in my social media newsfeed and decided to see what Amazon had to offer. I liked the reviews and the price of the audiomates, and I ordered them. Tonight my son and I went through Paranoid, Iron Man, Back in Black, Into the Void and a few other of our favorites and: no pain! It was amazing. I'm buying another pair for him. I had no issues with fit and found inserting them and popping them out to be easy. Really happy and look forward to trying them when I see Mastodon and Ozzy in the summer.

I wore these 8 hours a day in a factory for 3 days, then I noticed the horrible cuts in my ears. The function is awesome. They do filter noise which I was pleasantly surprised by, but they really fall down into the ear hole. It was the plastic filter insert that started cutting my ears. Maybe due to taking them in and out for breaks and such. But I found cuts in the ears in a dirty factory environment is bad news. They got infected and the next week really sucked having to cram the old school foam buds into gashed ears.

These Audiomate ear plugs are awesome!! We go see local bands in bars and they have the sound turned up way too high for the venues these days. We are able to sit in front again and still hear the music crystal clear!!! They come in a super small container as pictured that easily fits in my pocket. A band we saw recommended them and swore by them so we both got a set and we love them!!
