Great for camping trips, and short term survival. Maybe not the best for long term.
Ive bought about 15 MRE's from this vendor. I wont be reviewing the food in the MRE's since that has nothing to do with the seller, but ill say some of them are pretty good!Variety:Good variety, I havnt had a repeat in a single order. I did get repeats across multiple orders but thats fine, and they were minimal. Good selection.Condition:All were in basically brand new condition. No cuts, holes, scratches, marks.Packaging:Perfectly fine.Age/Shelf Life:This is where things can get dicey when you are talking about MRE's. You need to consider a few variables. Now, the seller makes no guarantee of age, but you would hope he isnt giving you MRE's beyond the recommended 5 year date. And thats been true for all the orders ive received. The seller makes it nice and easy to see the package and best by dates, as he includes a label with that info on each MRE. For the most part, the majority of the MRE's ive received were packed in 2017, and a few 2016. One of them actually didnt have a label, and when I looked up the code it was packaged in late 2015.The one thing about MRE's is that the shelf life is not guaranteed. Sometimes it can last well beyond the 5 year best by date, sometimes it doesnt. We dont know where the seller gets these MRE's from, or what kind of conditions they were stored in before being shipped to us. MRE's generally survive the best if stored in cooler conditions (less than 75 degrees or so). One would hope the seller has done this, but once again, we cant know for sure. Keep this in mind for yourself also, if you plan to store these in your car in Texas during the summer where it gets to 130 degrees in the trunk or something, dont be surprised if they arent good after a few years. Conclusion:So keeping in mind all of that information, these are great for camping or hiking if you want a self heating meal. Or just a quick lunch and you dont want to whip up anything. Maybe even a good solution if you know your area might experience flooding or something disastrous. That being said, i'm not sure i would recommend these for LONG TERM STORAGE. If you consider the above info, most of the MRE's you are getting are already 2-3 years old (this review was written in April 2019). Thats potentially 50 percent of their recommended shelf life already gone. So if you plan to buy cases of these to hoard for a potential situation 20 years down the line, you may want to consider going with a seller that can guarantee brand new manufacture dates and storage conditions. Or I would even recommend buying bulk freeze dried food over MRE's for real long term survival prepping.Since this seller makes buying individual MRE's convenient, has a fair price, and makes it clear the dates arent guaranteed, I think its a fair deal. 5 stars.

Very fresh, awesome price, and great quality
A really good value here. I purchased the 4 pack. Received Chicken Stew, Spaghetti w/Meat Sauce(outer bag was open), Macaroni with Tomato Sauce, and Hash browns with Bacon!! I was pretty excited when I seen that one. Most places are sold out of the hash browns. And to get 4 MRE's for around $30.....you can't beat that with a stick! These all had entree package dates of 2017. Very fresh! My only "complaint" is that there is no coffee, creamer, and sugar. I've noticed this when they come from Ozark Outdoorz. I don't know what's going on with that. Other than that, this is a genuine Military MRE for a crazy low Price! Buy em up while you can!

These are fine MREs
MREs are always a gamble, I was happy with the luck of my draw, these are fine quality MREs. These have a pack date of 5/2016, military inspection 5/2019 which gives them a best by date of 11/2021. In my 4 pack I received 1 beef ravioli, 1 macaroni in tomato sauce, 1 beef taco, and 1 lemon pepper tuna (I'm least psyched about that one) if you're looking for MREs for an emergency kit or upcoming backpacking or camping trip this is a good investment, if you're trying to stock a panic room long term...well you should be using freeze dried and dehydrated food for that, but if you're a newbie and want to go with MREs I would look for something more freshly packed. I do recommend this product and would order again.

A good variety.
Since selections are random, I must say that I was delighted with the variety of the four MRE's that I received.Thank you very much.

MRE Heaters
For those of you who receive Chicken Chinks or Lemon Pepper Tuna, they do not have heaters. Those are the only 2 MREs that come with no heater. The other 22 menus have them.
