80 Morning Meeting Ideas for Grades 3-6

Amazing ideas in here for teachers and to help lead and create a much better classsroom environment. I implemented so many strategies in my fourth grade classroom and I LOVED this book and my scholars highly enjoyed the engaging, family-oriented and anti-bullying activities and reflections. It helped ALL (myself included) of us to become better people and think a little harder and smarter before to do things. I wish I could thank the author personally. Incredible resource for teachers everywhere.

I love how all of the Morning Meetings go along with the common core. It’s a great way to review, practice, or even master new concepts.

I got this as a gift for my husband who was going to work with children this summer around this age group. He doesn't know that much about kids and there were going to be lots of moments of down time between scheduled activities where he had to keep them interested- and indoors so it couldn't be a sports-related thing, which is his go-to. It's only been a week, but he told me that it has helped tremendously to open rapport between him and the kids- and of course between the kids themselves who have started as mostly strangers to each other. I looked through it myself ahead of time, being more experienced with kids, and can attest to the great range of ideas for all the age ranges listed. I was surprised to see some ideas that use a little bit of improv, which is SO fun for kids! I think even if you aren't in a classroom setting this can be really helpful - for nannies, or when visiting friends with kids who you don't know that well, etc.

I began using this in my morning meetings, prior to even attending RC training. It was a great resource and kept me from having to find or come up with new and engaging ideas every day.

Great start to the school day. Get your students' minds engaged and ready to learn by starting with fun interactive questions and activities. Takes no more than 15 minutes and the students love them.

I started using morning meeting with my ESY class and this book makes planning it a breeze …. I have a small group of 3 students and 3 support staff and this book has so many ideas that I am able to use it like a menu when planning on the morning to come up with a personalized morning meeting that works for my kiddos …. Would def recommend especially is you are a new teacher or new to using morning meeting

This is a great accompaniment to The Morning Meeting Book. If you don't know the research and features of the morning meeting, you should definitely read the original book. But this small book has lots of interesting ideas that are different from the main book.

Me ha servido para arrancar el día con actividades muy pequeñas y concretas. Luego si se cae en la repetición, este libro te ayuda con ideas. Además me ayuda que tiene palabras clave y tiene un índice por temas. Soy maestra multigrado, tengo el de preescolar también.

Not as many useful activities as expected as some suggested activities are kind of silly for Gr 3 and up or takes too long to complete but is still my quick reference when I’m short of time to prepare thoroughly.
