It is important that my 10 year old girl wears a medial ID bracelet, and the ones on the market are often heavy and clunky... this bracelet looks lovely and the best thing is that she is happy with it... if they don't like it they won't wear it... I had her first name engraved on the front in fancy font, then underneath all the medial info.It is possible that the cord will eventually wear away and need a new bangle, but the stainless steel oval is indistructabe and will last a lifetime.... we all love it and she gets great comments where ever she goes.1 thing I would like to highlight is that I should have added her family name also as the Dr. pointed out as it will help the hospital find her records quickly and call us in an emergency....Don't buy the silicone kids bangles... no medial professional looks closely at these.. they just look like a charity band... (so said our nurse)I got the engraving done at John Young Signs in Fife, Scotland (I have no connection to them but they did a great job and provided a draft of the text in the correct font etc to be approved prior to going ahead with the work)....
