Simple inexpensive fix for replacing a 40 yr old garage door opener. My opener units are old and would trigger if I installed the switches properly with the correct polarity ... the flashing led turning on triggers the door to open/close. So, I turned the switches around (leds only light in one direction of current flow) and all is well ... just no cute light in the switch .... have never had on so no problem.

So if your wire isn't going. Through the wall like mine isn't you may need to nip some of the plastic to make space for the wire to pass through. The price of these is so fricken cheap. They light up a nice white, actually lights up the garage a fair bit too. The action is almost silent on pressing it so that is great too. I wired a secondary between my two garage doors so I don't have to walk all the way over if I want to open/close it. (Left garage is manual)

Very good value for the price. Holes matched a much older look alike item. Will agree with others that the screws are cheaply made.

Works well, looks good, and is relatively easy to install (may depend on the previous doorbell button), but there is one weak spot. The included screws will begin to rust rapidly, and will stain the white button. This didn't occur to me when I installed the button, but as soon as I noticed the rust stain, I replaced the screws with brass ones. I would suggest substituting brass or stainless steel screws when installing the new doorbell button.

Works well enough, wife says it's 'old fashioned, that we moved up from the 70s to the 90s' but it works well enough and the LED lights up the entire rectangular push button. So cute -lol. Made well enough for it's purpose and install can be done blindfolded by anyone with electrical and mechanical prowess
