Better than my drinkmate was, half the price. Drinkmate fell apart in less than two years. 6 months in with this thing and it's doing good. Seems to be able to carbonated water better and stronger. The exhaust button works awesome and keeps the water from bubbling over when removing, a messy problem I had with the crapmate. Drill a hole in the back of it to run the line to your 20lb CO2 tank and you'll be set.

I have been spending far too much on sparkling spring water, so I figured it was time to make my own. I purchased this one because it was far less expensive than most on the market. I had to order the CO2 canisters separately, at at around $25 each, they aren't cheap. Once I realized how MUCH sparkling water I can make with that $25 cannister (up to 60 liters!) I knew it was a $mart investment.I can't believe how easy it was to use. And I can control the level of fizzy, which is a plus for me! I'm fortunate enough to have access to crystal pure artesian spring water (for free!) so now I have pure artesian spring FIZZY water. Pellegrino, eat your heart out!

My electric Soda stream broke after 4 years, and I to a chance on this one at 1/4 of the price. It works just as well. The only complaint is it doesn't use the same style bottle.

I have had other soda stream products in the past, the bottle would just screw on and off the carbinator. For whatever reason this model uses 1/4 turn click on click off kind of mechanism. It is VERY difficult to put the bottle on the carbonator and even more difficult to remove it from the unit. This is a very bad design, were it not for the fact that I did not get around to using this before the the amazon return window closed I would return it.

Great to use, carbonates the water good, and it taste really bubbly.

Like this one a lot. It's easy to use and doesn't take up much of a footprint.
