I love the appearance of this clock and especially the mesmerizing movement of the gears. It accentuates the room decor and quickly catches your eye when you enter the room. The only drawback is that under even slightly dimmed lighting, I can't see the hands to tell what time it is. So, it's a nice and expensive decorative wall adornment but has little functionality. I'm considering painting the hands so that they show up better, but that is disappointing given the price I paid for it.

This clock looks great. The moving gears add an interesting twist to this clock and fits the "Steampunk" aesthetic. The clock is big, and fills in the space well on your wall. Being so large, the numbers are easy to read. The hands run off of 1 AA battery and the gears run off of 2 AA batteries, separate from the hands.My problem with this clock is that it feels cheap. The clock hands are thin and flimsy, the gears are all made of very light wood (for the price, I expected they would at least be a light metal), and the clock face itself is exposed (no glass or plastic cover). For almost $200, I expect a little bit more from a wall clock than cheap wood and flimsy hands.Overall, this clock looks very nice and the spinning gears are a very cool feature. The clock just feels a little cheap and lazy, especially for the asking price.

Its perfect for the space I wanted it for. Ties in all my colours nicely.BUT...the compartment for the batteries to run the gears...clearly has issues. I just bought fresh batteries, put a set in they died quickly. No big deal. Put in another set...that also died pretty quickly. Chanhed them again...Then randomly...a spark flew out of the clock and the gears died. I opened the battery compartment and saw a battery was leaking. No wonder a lot of people are having issues with the gears. That part is probably wired wrong.So...no moving gears for me. Just only going to run the clock part and hope that part is wired right.

The original clock began to screech within a week. Seller advised to lubricate. Lubricated with clock gear oil. Still screeched. Seller offered to replace; they were out of the original white. I got black as a replacement and with mt grey walls turned out to be perfect. Great seller to work with and immediate responses. It's a little pricey for the composition of the clock. It matched my decor and willing to pay the price.
