Vornado Zippi Personal Fan, Black

I had bought a zippi fan 3 years ago and it was excellent. This one looked quite different and was very noisy. It stopped working completely in the first 30 minutes. Came with US plug

Bought 2, neither worked when they arrived. Tried to return, but refused to supply commercial invoice for international return, so stuck with two dead fans.

We have four Zippi fans. We like them because they are quiet and small enough to take with us when we travel.

I love this little fan. Very good quality. Moves air but doesn't make a ton of noise. On my nightstand it takes up very little space and if I bump my hand into it while reaching for my lamp, it doesn't hurt.

Quiet, nice, and compact fan for on the go and on a desk.

This fan checks all the boxes. It!s quiet, portable and is nicely designed. It has enough power to use at a desk. I use it on the low setting at my desk and only use the high setting after doing physical work. The blades are quite harmless, just flapping against the fingers.Two things set this fan apart. It is Listed by a third party safety agency, ETL, and bears the mark. This means it has passed safety requirements., and the factory is subject ongoing follow up visits to ensure continued compliance. This fan also has a fuse in the plug for an extra level of safety. Small motors like in this fan are generally very safe and reliable but if something goes wrong the fuse steps in and opens the circuit, reducing the risk of fire. There’s not much risk of shock because the fan body is plastic.I looked at dozens of fans and I’m glad I got this one. It does the job, is safe, and is attractively designed. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised by the ETL Listing and fuse.Oh, and it’s also quiet and is rock steady, no doubt because of the fabric blades. If you’re looking for a desk fan you can stop here.The only shortcoming is the large rotary switch is on the backs, so if you are seated you’ll have to reach behind the fan and get flapped by the blades. I just swivel the fan sideways and operate the switch. No big deal.

I bought it to provide some quiet, non-distracting air flow directly on face or upper body (NOT "ventilate the room" - we live with cats and dogs and I don't want to raise all the dust & hair from the corners of the room:).It does exactly what I hoped it would:* It is quiet to the point I don't notice it* It provides consistent, gentle airflow during summer heat* The blades are cool and genuinely harmless - first myself, then (inadvertently) the cat and my son touched them while spinning with not even a scratch :)I also quite enjoy the look for it; note that I found it a lot heavier, and about twice the size I mentally expected; it seems quite solidly built.Highly recommended
