Great Chemistry with great death a must read hockey romance
A perfect holiday hook up is all that Lola and Brandon wanted, but fate just kept throwing them together, but this couple's romantic road is anything but smooth!Back in the city after a great relaxing holiday in more ways than one, Lola and Brendon had thought they were never to meet again, but chance meeting after meeting was proving that theory wrong, but neither had time for a relationship, Lola is pushing for promotion and Hockey is the top priority for Brendon, so friends with benefits fitted them perfectly, but you would be wrong in thinking that Kelly Jamieson was going to just produce a run of the mill friends with benefits with that ease into a couple realising they wanted more, you get this in Good Hands but there are other elements at play as well family drama's and stumbles along the way that made Lola and Brendon's story a deeper read, as each is dealing with their own insecurities. There was great chemistry between Brendan and Lola and it was great to see more of the team's dynamics unfold, which is promising us the reading some more great stories to come.

Good Hands
~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~This is the second book in the series, and whilst there is some world building in book 1, and we do see Owen and Emerie, but more from the side of Brandon wanting to avoid going down that route! The perfect holiday needs to include a sexy hookup according to Lola's friends. She is not convinced until she sees Brandon. He is equally attracted to her, and the fact that she really doesn't know who he is appeals to him. Rules in place, they have a lot of fun!Of course fate intervenes and they bump into each other in NY, and agree to one more night ... which leads to an agreement to be definitely nothing more than friends-with-benefits. It is a slippery slope, but hugely enjoyable, so who can blame them. It is a lot of fun getting to know both of them, their quirks and their wonderful banter. With some good hockey elements thrown in, we really get the good mix of romance and ice hockey that I love. With a fun twist, plenty of friends to encourage, support and tease, this is a really engaging story - I am already looking forward to the next one!~~Wicked Reads Review Team~~

3.5 enjoyable stars
Great story line. Both are determined to be just friends with benefits, until they're not. Great tempo, just nothing to make it stand out from the rest.

Great!!
This is the second book in this amazing series and is Brandon and Lola’s journey. These two meets by chance in Aruba in a tropical beachside bar and have a steamy night and do not expect to see each other again. These two cross paths again in New York and are unable to resist the attraction between them so they agree to a friend’s-with-benefits arrangement. What will happen when feeling come into play, and a surprise knocks the wind out of their sails? This is a beautifully written story which is fun, with combustible and undeniable chemistry, friendships, family, emotions, surprises, romance, and love, which leads to an entertaining and light-hearted page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

When did Kelly Jamieson become PG?
I am a huge fan of Kelly Jamieson's books, they rarely ever disappoint. That's why I'm surprised that I'm writing this review. I have noticed a trend lately where she cuts away when the love scene is midway through or before anything other than kissing happens. It's almost like soap operas in the old days that would cut to commercial when the couple kissed and rejoin the couple "afterwards" with the covers pulled up to their chins, perfectly made up. I'm not sure why she's chickening out of these scenes lately but it really guts the emotion and intimacy out of the story. When the couple doesn't have the most fascinating dialogue or storyline, like Lola and Brandon in this book, it leaves the reader with a really empty feeling afterwards. I hope this isn't an indicator of the way her books are going now because her books need those scenes to be the complete Kelly Jamieson experience. She mentioned that her editor on her last book suggested she leave one of the steamy scenes out so she sent it to her readers in an email as a bonus chapter. I could not for the life of me see why she would leave that scene out, it was great. Get a new editor Kelly if that's the advice she's giving you because she's way off base. You do you...that's why your fans love you.

could not get enough
Good Hands is a fantastic read. I loved this one so much and being back in the Bears Hockey II series. This is Brandon's book. He is one of the more laid-back quiet players, one of the only single ones, one that needs to step up his game to remain a Bear. He doesn't have time for relationships and did not grow up around a healthy one when it came to his parents' marriage. Lola is a workaholic, trying to please her parents and stubborn. She wants to do everything on her own and has no time for relationships. One night was never enough between Lola and Brandon when they met in Aruba. Chance run ins turns to more and Lola and Brandon heat up the pages. The attraction is so strong, and I love how Lola and Brandon take it all on. Walls will be broken down and a few surprises along the way. I could not get enough of this one. I love Lola and Brandon so much. You need to read this one now.

A Great Read
What happens in Aruba doesn’t always end in Aruba and that’s what happens when it comes to Brandon & Lola.Lola McGrath is on a well deserved vacation with friends for fun and sun but when she sees Brandon she knows she has to meet him but she never expects that it would go beyond the one night.Brandon Smith is vacationing in Aruba with his Bears teammates but when Lola approaches him he knows he needs to get to know her and never expects more.Going to back to their everyday lives bumping into Brandon seems like fate but the two of them have a lot of on their plates and can more really be something that could happen. Watching Brandon & Lola navigate through a lot of ups and downs and some unexpected news you can’t help cheer them on because not only is their chemistry off the charts but they are good for each other in so many other ways and if they can do all of that they can definitely find a HEA they both deserve.
