Just the sort of tool a real workman wants.
Manufacturers often put bells and whistles on tools to try to make them attractive. But REAL workmen want a tool to be strong, simple and reliable. This drill feels well made with no unnecessary features. At under £50 this is a good buy.Lower quality drills aren't a whole lot cheaper.

Great quality and same cost of a rubbish drill. Recommend.
For a basic hammer and or electric drill this is brilliant value. Great quality and has the basic features of variable speed trigger and hammer action or normal drill and keyless chuck. I only review stuff I am impressed with and this is no exception. The mains lead is thick and decent enough length. Comes with plastic carry case.

Quality
Excellent quality drill, powerful enough for most jobs with easy to use keyless chuck that locks into position and doesn’t work loose

Good DIY tool
This is a good basic piece of kit. No frills just good rotary and rotary percussion drilling, used it a number of times into brickwork and concrete floors fixing door threshold strips and hanging basket brackets and other DIY jobs. Always use good quality drill bits for best results and less effort. The drill itself is a little heavy but when drilling into floors that's a good thing because it makes the job easier as only a little pressed is needed. This drill is a good DIY and tradesman's occasional tool. Recommended.

Good product
Like all Makita products - it does what it says on the box. Sensible no nonsense tool.
