4 of the lights did not work. Before I requested new ones I opened one of the non working lights up. It’s only two screws under the cap. I found the battery had popped out of its holder. Pushed it back in and all was well. Same problem on the other three. I imagine they were jarred loose at ups or usps throwing them around during shipping. They don’t throw a ton of light but are adequate for accent lighting I bought them for. 👍

They were very easy to assemble right from the box - you must attach each "lamp head" to a plastic tube, and each plastic tube comes with a stake inside of it that you take out and flip around so they attach at the bottom. The stake was able to penetrate the ground pretty easily once I found a spot with the right density of soil. I had no problem with them breaking. I recommend that if it doesn't go in easily then don't force it. I left them on a very bright and sunny spot for a couple of days just to be sure. At first I didn't know if they were working correctly because when you point them directly at the light there was a very faint red light, but I think this just shows they are charging. I was worried that they were only one color and not very bright BUT one part I did not do during assembly is take off the top lid with the solar panel and electric components, there is a paper tab you must remove that allows the battery to make full connection, you see this with a lot of other battery powered lights you see in toys, etc. After that the light started working right away, changing colors as expected, and was fairly bright. It is not the brightest light, especially compared to something that is hard wired, but they are very visible for a walkway outside at night and very good for something that is battery charged from solar power. I recommend doing what I did, keep the paper tab in to charge the battery for a couple of days in full sun, and then take the tab out before putting them in the final location. All 12 of mine worked with no problem, and the light actually has some other neat colors, it doesn't only do red green and blue as pictured, but also does orange, white, purple, etc.

I used these lights to install on our wrought iron fence securing them on the posts. When you buy this product beware that some of the lights will not light. Unscrew the black top. There are 2 small screws. Remove them. You will see a green battery. Often the battery is not secure. Just snap it back in place. Alternatively, you can do what I did. I replaced ALL of the green batteries with good well known batteries. What a difference. The light is much brighter. I kept the green product battery for other uses. I do like how these lights look. If you are willing to replace the product battery I think you will enjoy this product.

I purchased these to brighten up and add some visual interest to the walkway in front of our very dark, rural home. I have only had the lights for two days, so I can't speak to the longevity of them, but so far I am extremely happy with this set. Pros: ▪Arrived quickly and well-packaged in a compact, tidy box ▪Directions were simple to follow, and lights were easy to install by hand (no tools needed) ▪The lights push easily into soft and firm ground, and are lightweight, standing easily and securely upright in place ▪Beautiful light to help humans and pets find their way around in the dark ▪A very affordable way to instantly upgrade the look of your home's exterior ▪Inconspicuous looking (nearly invisible) during the day time Cons: ▪It may be difficult to mow the grass nearly right around where the lights are installed ▪I installed these in the hot summer sun and the plastic became very HOT to touch (solution: move them into the shade or assemble indoors) ▪After inserting deeply into the ground, some of the pegs were too difficult to remove to relocate. They are made in two snap-together pieces and they tended to separate when I yanked them back out of the ground, leaving one part securely lodged into the earth slightly below ground level (solution: lay the lights on the ground on their sides while arranging and don't insert them into the earth until deciding on final spacing) ▪12 may not be enough for longer paths like mine (solution: stagger the lights to get a bit of extra length, which also looks great, or... order a second set as I have just done) As just mentioned, I love these enough to have ordered another set. Great price for 12 lights and I love the way they look. I am planning to try to put them a bit closer together for even brighter light, and extend them all the way to the end of our pathway (it was just too long to complete with just 6 lights on either side.) I highly recommend these solar lights based on my experience using them so far.

The lights are great they work well shine bright all night but the pack is a 12 pack and I only received 9 sticks so I cannot use all 12 lights that part is the reason for the 3 stars otherwise I would give it 5

I love my lights but for some reason 2 stopped working so I got in touch with them and I was so surprised to have received a whole pack of them instead of 2. So nice to see that they stand behind their products. Customer service was excellent!

Worst product on Amazon...not a single light was working. I initiated request for replacement but no replacement was provided...
