The transformer was broken when it arrived, but Atticus replaced the whole kit immediately and for free. Even send me an additional ringer button for my troubles! Great door bell, great fast-acting company!

My old doorbell was developing a hummmmm that was driving me nuts. I bought this contractors kit because it was only a couple of dollars more than the chime alone and I did not know if the problem might be in the transformer.Replacement was easy, didn't need the transformer, sound of the chime is good and the cover matched my existing bell. The transformer will be used in other projects. I am quite happy with this purchase.

When my husband hooked the doorbell up, the doorbell "ring" sounded tinny, like a cheap apartment doorbell. Honestly, I was surprised it even mattered to me, but it drove me nuts. So, since we bought it because we were only missing the outer casing on our old one after a remodel, he just used the old doorbell with this new cover.

Works great and I recommend for business. Has two low and high pitched sounding chimes for two separate entryways, or select one chime for single entry.

We're guessing someone returned the one we received because the bar used to make the door bell chime was broken and someone used two rubber bands to hold it on. Very disappointed because I couldn't get it to sound right at all. Sadly we ordered this several months ago because we're remodeling so it's out of the return window. Our suggestion is to open it right away and check it closely if not installing it pretty quick.

my house is only 1400 sq feet you cant even hear it from next room. this is no different than one you can get at a local home improvement store.i returned and am looking for one that you can hear more than 50 feet away

I used the door bell kit to replace my old one. It works fine.

I had an old tired doorbell that I replaced with this. I didn't use the outside pieces just the inside piece. It was a quick easy install with 3 wires.
