With age, the plastic gets brittle on these chairs.I was using one in the bathroom, and it was really old, over 30 years. It collapsed. This one is of similar design, not identical, but the same sort of cheap weatherproof chair. This doesn't replace a purpose-made shower chair, but I don't have to worry about it getting wet. And most places sell garden chairs in sets. So this is a good deal.

You'd rightly expect any kind of chair to support you comfortably and securely, but this one doesn't. The back is flimsy and inordinately flexible. Furthermore, the drainage is inadequate, so while everything else in the garden is dry, you're left with a puddle in the seat.Over many decades, I owned similar-looking chairs and they were all very much better than this. This version is specially cheap for internet selling, when you buy before you see.Caveat emptor.
