Better than expected. Would buy again

I purchased this winch for my pontoon boat trailer. It was easy to install with included hardware. I had no issues getting my 24’ pontoon boat out of the water and onto my trailer, even though my outboard was not running due to fuel issue. Heavy duty winch, did the job!

I bought the 3500lb model which should be rated for 2,000lbs over my boat weight on the trailer and about 6 uses in multiple teeth broke off the larger gear. Just straight up sheered off and a number of others are bent and warped. This thing must be made out of the cheapest steel around, I was very optimistic but I will never order one of these again. 0/10 cheapest garbage I have seen on Amazon and that's saying a lot...

First off the winch itself is very well made. Unfortunately the first was shipped without a crank handle rendering it useless. Second one was fine. As for the strap, I replaced it with a rod saver strap, strap is thin and I didnt want to chance my boat coming loose, but it will accept a heavy duty 25 ft. Replacement strap with no problems. Winch is excellent though, just my preference to load a heavier strap on it.

After going through a few different boat winches this one was a hit! Works and looks great and durable!

I installed this on a car trailer to use like a winch. It has no issues pulling old Volkswagens up the ramp onto the trailer. Works amazing!

This unit is a 2 speed requiring moving the handle to the other shaft. First thing i did was buy a wing nut to facilitate the ease of attaching handle. Nice heavy unit!
