Great for thick doors
I used this to cut a hole in a thick wooden door to fit a night-latch, a task it performed effortlessly. I've also used it since to cut through a 4mm mild steel bulkhead on my narrowboat to pass cabling through and it worked well on that too, I did use cutting lubricant for that job however. So far there is no sign of wear and the teeth seem as sharp as when new, I also like the little box it comes in as it protects the drill from being blunted by coming into contact with other tools in the toolbox. A decent bit of kit all round.

Perfect, cuts through like butter!
Cuts through wood like it was butter! I attached it to my Bosch corded drill, good tight fit, then started drill off slowly until metal teeth touched wood. Then sped up the drill rotation and pressed lightly against the wood until it went through in about two seconds. Make sure to hold the drill tight and firmly and away from your face, as once the hole saw grips the wood, it can kick the handle upwards. If it does this, your drill isn’t rotating fast enough, you need to increase the drill speed so it cuts through!Very easy to use, well made and will last a long time.

Fantastic Tool Top Quality
This hole cutter is fantastic!! I used it to fit a round retractable triple plug with 2 USB ports in my coffee table. The wood is an Indian hardwood and it went through absolutely no problem, using my battery drill. It's great as now I don't have cables everywhere. Also I loaned it to a friend for the same job but he was fitting the multi plug unit into his kitchen worktops, he actually commented on how good the tool is and I completely agree. I've used the other yellow ones with the red brand name on them and actually think that these are as good as if not better than them, my friend agrees. I will be buying this brand from now on. One tip I do have is that I really would advise you to spend that little bit extra for jobs like the ones I have mentioned above as it really does make a difference. If it's for downlighters or something through plasterboard, then you can get away with those cheaper ones but as I've learned over the years, you get what you pay for. Also this tool being red in colour doesn't mean it's one of the cheap ones. This is a brand name and far superior. I tried to get as much detail in with the pictures as I could. The sturdy case it comes in too is a great idea.

Well worth the money . . .
Bought this to fit gas dropout vents in the campervan I'm converting.Having used many hole saws to cut many materials at work over the years I can claim some experience, hence I'll confess to being a bit wary of buying this cheap one (having always used Starrett or similar quality makes) but I only needed to cut a couple of holes so saw it as a 'throwaway item'.Unlike most cutters, this tool does not require a separate arbour which can be seen as good or bad depending how you look at it. If you use several different size cutters on a regular basis it can be handy to use the same arbour, but the pilot drill will need sharpening/replacing more often, and changing cutters can be a pain. This comes as a unit, so the drill only gets used as much as the cutter - it's a swings and roundabout thing really.Anyway, I've just used it to go through the bottom of the steel gas box, a layer of cushion flooring, rubber matting, 12mm ply and finally the steel floor of the van without a problem, and the cutter is still as sharp as when it arrived!Another thing is that the tool comes in a fairly robust (hence reusable) plastic case which will stop it getting damaged in the toolbox, and also stop the still sharp teeth taking bites out of my knuckles. On the whole, for the money, a truly excellent purchase - which I'd recommend without hesitation.

Excellent holesaw
Used this to cut holes in a lath and plaster ceiling for fire rated gu10 downlights on my living room. The quoted cutout hole size for downlights was 85mm I did a lot of reading about cutting holes on lath and plaster ceilings.I ordered the holesaw and it arrived a few days later. All I can say is this is a very good holsaw, it is very well made and is nice and thick .I cut perfectly smooth holes in lath and plaster ceiling, no clogging or snagging while cutting. Its supersharp teeth made light work of the lime plaster then jade light t work of the hard wood lathes. Mininal effort required as the cutter is so sharp. Before I started on this project I had read loads of articles about cutting holes in lathe and plaster and how difficult and a fragile operation it was, but no worries with this holesaw. It cuts like hot knife through butter.Great product quality product.

It's Big, It's red, It drills big holes with big sharp teeth, giving perfect results.
I ordered this and it arrived super quick..... it's a hole saw! it has a diameter of 60mm!I've not had much experience with hole saw's.... it is a one piece unit, with a 'Hex' nut drill shaft, that fits into your drill chuck, it is surprisingly heavy and feels (and looks) well constructed, I have not used it yet and will not use it for some time, but I intend it to be used to drill/saw through 28mmm kitchen worktops, the package claims it will cut through metal.....it looks like it will have no trouble in doing so.It comes packaged in a tubular box, which open and closes really easy so can double as long term storage in between cutting holes in the various materials it is capable off, I like this because its a no hassle one piece unit... all that can really go wrong is if I try to drill/saw with my drill in reverse?I drilled a hole in 32mm MDF, half way through I turned the material over and drilled from the other side, from pressing the trigger too finishing with a perfect 60mm hole, it took me 120 seconds, Time will depend on the power/age of your drill, I used a 750 watt drill with a 13mm chuck, and the hexagonal end only just fits, if YOUR chuck is less than 13mm this will NOT fit into your chuck! It took longer for me to unpack my drill than the actual job. I have taken a picture of the results of the hole saw.

Beware when using this tool
First time I used this tool the drill shattered when the saw snagged on the wood. You need to ensure that you take your time and it should not snag. The plug of wood that's been cut gets stuck in the saw and you have to poke a screwdriver through the sides of the saw to remove the plug
