Matcha is a high-grade green tea ground into powdered form. Ceremonial Grade Matcha is the highest grade of Matcha and gets its name from being used in tea ceremonies and Buddhist Temples. --- Our 100% Organic Ceremonial Grade Matcha is ground using the traditional stone-milled method. It is well selected from fresh young tea leaves in early April (1st harvest) in our cooperated shadow covered tea fields. --- Traditional Preparation: Sift 1/2 to 1 tsp of Matcha Powder into a bowl or cup. Add 3 oz. of hot water (not boiling). Whisk the mixture until smooth froth forms on the surface. Add more hot water to taste.
