A Quaker Classic
I read the book many years ago as a student from our library. Glad now that I have the money to have my own copy.

Mysticism My Love
Because of my life experiences p!us my reading and discussions with many, I have long been in love with the mystics. This little book is love!y, insightful and in tune with my understanding. I just reread William James' "Varieties of Religious Experience," which he quotes, and to which he is in harmony. It is well worth reading and contemplating.

A bit too technical for me.
I gave it a 3 because through no fault of it's own, the book turned out to not be what I was looking for. Jones was very succinct and thorough in an investigative sort of way, so it turned out to be a but too technical for me.

It amazing read at the right time. When you are ready for it read it. The work is intense and smooth and made me smile while I read it.the print is very large. A smaller version for the pocket would be nice.

Great Classic Book
Great classic book. I recommend what Rufus Jones writes about the inner life and Quaker thought.

Stop Press! Rufus Who?
Rufus Jones (1863-1948), whose life is a soaring example of authentic Christian response, penned this stunner in 1916. I won't be surprised if it is a best seller in 2016. It throbs with urgency and relevance. You don't read this book- it reads you. It uplifts and transforms. A SO refreshing testament to life lived in and through the mystery and power of the risen Christ, 24/7. Yup, even for us 'sophisticated' moderns... In my view, this is the original 'big tent' Christianity at its best.
