Wondering about water resistance like wear during daily showers?

Not sure what material the key is but the other components are carbide and elastic shock cord. I think wearing it daily in the shower would cause the materials to break down quicker. The elastic cord would probably break down first but if you inspect and replace it periodically it could work. Unless the threat of kidnapping is present during the shower I'd leave it to stay dry on the side. But I understand if you're showering in a public place and/or without a locking door the necessity is there. It can also be worn as a bracelet, anklet, or hair tie to hide it but any location on the body will get wet in the shower. Although if a person were to attack someone mid shower they're probably not going for an abduction as much as an attack in that moment. Prevention is the most effective method so lock the door if possible, keep a whistle and your phone nearby, and maybe a weapon of some sort. Stay safe!
