Worthless
Small, not very effective, difficult and time consuming to use.

Disappointing - not very warm.
(UPDATE: Seller read my original review, contacted me and graciously offered me a full refund. Kudos to a seller who honorably stands behind their products. My original assessment of the product stands - I may have received a defective warmer. However, 5 stars to Hi Fine Care Store.) Original review: Have used this style of warmer for years. These, however, don't produce much heat and don’t stay tepid as long as other brands stay warm. There are better choices out there.

Love these for their utility and long term storage, but also for the science of it. These are s fun science lesson for kids!

“Handy”, useful, but short heat time
These reusable heat packs are a perfect size for a pocket. Click back-n-forth on the metal disc in the solution packet and it triggers a chemical change causing the pack to solidify and produce some heat. It’s nowhere near burning temps but it will take the chill off for hands and fingers. And “recharging” the hand warmers are just about as easy as activating them. Can you boil water? The biggest caution is keeping the packs from settling or touching the bottom of the pot. The more direct heat from the pot’s metal bottom can be hot enough to possibly melt or damage the packet. What I find that works for me is to boil water in the Dutch oven sized pot and then use a strainer or steamer that will sit in water but keep the packet off the bottom. I probably explained it more complicated than it is.Once activated, the heat doesn’t really last all that long… 20-minutes maybe… but that can be just enough.
