Fantastic rice with this compact cooker!
First of all the rice comes out really well, which is the most important thing! In particular I love that I can get two good servings of brown rice that is perfectly moist, chewy and delicious in only 50 minutes, and white rice that is moist and fluffy in only 25 minutes. And cleanup is a breeze, there is very little residue on the inner lid and you don't have to scrape to get every grain of rice out of the pot. It is also very compact and fits easily in my cupboard when not in use, and I like that the cooker doesn't take a long time to cool off so you can make another batch of rice right away if you want to. (My husband likes white rice but I prefer brown, so I cook the brown first, rinse out the pot and lid and then make the white.) It is also easy to learn how to operate and is absolutely adorable! For these reasons I am giving the rice cooker 5 stars, but there is one little niggling thing that isn't ideal. As other reviewers have mentioned it is REALLY hard to see the marks inside the pot. Maybe this is because the healthier nonstick ceramic coating is very dark, and I like the coating, so maybe that is just the price we have to pay. But it is really hard to see those markings. Luckily there are two work-arounds. You can use a flashlight to shine into the pot when you are adding the water so that you can see where the line is. I know, a little bit of a hassle, but it works. You can also just use a measuring cup to add the correct amount of water. I use an actual measuring cup for the water instead of the "scoop" they give you to measure out the rice, which is only about 2/3 cup. So what I do is, I take 1 scoop of rice and rinse it really well to remove the excess starch, then drain that completely and put it in the pot. To the drained wet rice I add one "real" cup of water for brown rice or 5/8 cup water for white rice. This way I don't have to use the flashlight to see the markings in the pot.

Small but effective!
I recently had to get rid of my old $20 basic rice cooking pot. I had it for years, and decided when it died to at least double my budget on a new one.this one fit the bill perfectly. Its small, clean aesthetic, and easy to use.Its just me and my girlfriend using it, we dont ever fill it all the way and it makes enough rice for the two of us and sometimes leftovers too.Lovely rice cooker. easy buttons for white rice, brown rice, Quinoa, and steel cut oat? Ive only ever used the rice function but it is flawless, makes good proper rice, and keeps it warm as long as you need to before serving. Its very easy to clean, the little pot is non-stick ceramic and removes easily for cleaning. The lid that actually covers the rice pops out of the frame for easy cleaning as well.Overall well worth the price, not really super expensive, but feels way nicer (and functions way nicer) than the crappy basic $20 pots.If you are like me, you only felt you needed the basics, and dont want a $100+ rice cooker, this is a nice happy medium for 2-4ish people. Compact, effective, not super expensive, and makes up to 4 cups of rice (which we maybe make 1 cup per person on average)You wont regret the purchase.

Fantastic little rice cooker
I had been wanting a rice cooker, as something always messes up when I cook it on the stove. I also wanted something a bit more fancier than a basic rice cooker, but also something small, as I only cook for myself and have limited counter space. After browsing, I decided on this one, because it was on sale, and I found the design really cute.I love this rice cooker. The size is perfect, and doesn’t take up too much counter space. The directions are easy to follow and it cooks the rice perfectly every time (I’ve been using jasmine rice). The rice is so fluffy and moist, and doesn’t stick to the pot, so you can get all the rice. Cleaning is also super easy thanks to the nonstick pot.I haven’t had a chance yet to see how it cooks quinoa, brown rice, or oatmeal yet, as I’ve got an 11 pound bag of jasmine rice to get through, but I will certainly update my review when I get the chance. But all in all, I’m very happy with this rice cooker, and would definitely recommend.UPDATE (6/10/25): It cooks brown rice to perfection as well, though be forewarned, it does take about an hour for it to cook.

Works great--but this is *NOT* a 4 cup rice cooker
The title can be misleading. This is "NOT" a 4 cup rice cooker. It is designed to only cook two cups. The measurement lines on the inside of the pot also only go up to "2". I did try cooking 4 cups of rice, though--as an experiment. At a 1:1 ratio of water to rice, the water was up the brim of the pot at the beginning of cooking. I noticed that steam did NOT start venting from the cooker until about 10 minutes from completion so I knew something was not right. Water was also being pushed out of the cooker while it was cooking and there was a pool of water forming under the cooker. After all this, after the cooking time of 40 minutes the rice was still somewhat hard and undercooked--but I chose to leave the rice in the pot and the cooker set to "keep warm". After 25 minutes I checked the rice and it was softer and more cooked. I left it for another 25 minutes (50 minutes total warm time after the initial 40 minute cook time) and the rice was fully cooked--but the rice was compacted and needed fluffing by removing it from the pot and put into another bowl. This is not a desirable way to cook. It would have been easier and take less time just to cook another 2 cups.So if you want to cook more than 2 cups at one time, look elsewhere. Otherwise, we like the design and the compactness of the cooker. We don't need more than 2 cups of rice come mealtime so it works out for us.

Perfect little rice cooker
This rice cooker is amazing!! It’s exactly what I wanted. It cooks rice perfect every time. I love the size too. 2 cups is more than enough for my family of 4 and I. It’s cute too. I’ve had it for a while now, and I use it at least once or twice a week. I highly recommend it!
