These feathers are really nice - good quality, good looking with nice colors. I was wary of buying online, because quality is a gamble and many of these companies seem to pack in smaller-than-advertised feathers. While the quality is good, unfortunately, this company did pack in smaller feathers. They are supposed to be 6-8" long; however, all were between 4.5 and 6.75 inches, with most around 6". I don't think any actually reached 7". In the last picture of several feathers on the measurement mat, I picked the smallest and biggest feathers. The largest hit about 6.75". You can see they range of sizes. Fortunately, I don't need the feathers to be longer, so I'll still give five stars for quality. ***JUST BE AWARE THAT THE FEATHERS ARE SHORTER/SMALLER THAN ADVERTISED.*** Anyway, they are packaged well, so there's no bending or warping of the feathers. They're perfectly flat. Most are straight or only very gently curved to the side. They're all basically the same, almost-perfect feather shape. (I say "almost" because natural feathers will never be exactly the same!) The price is better than in stores. I'm going to be using these to make cat toys, but because of the good quality, they could be used on all sorts of projects. Because they're all flat, they'd glue into a flat surface easily. Thus, I think they're good for everything from kid's art projects to fine art to cosplay. I definitely recommend this brand (as long as you're okay with shorter-than-advertised feathers.) These feathers are nice and were the right color and size for the costume hat that I needed them for. The real color is very close to the photo in this listing. The feathers vary a bit in length (they are dyed goose feathers, so they are naturally going to be different lengths), from about 6"-7". They are very soft and easy to manage when working with. My only complaint is related to the difficulty in returning items like this: the label on the package does not have the brand name or Amazon item number, so you can easily mix up similar items when trying to return them. Since these were in the same order as another set of blue feathers I ordered at the same time, there was no way to tell which were which, and I ended up returning the other one under this one's item number. I recommend making each purchase a separate order and marking the package with the Amazon order number when it arrives in case you are trying to match colors with a costume as I was.

Used on a headdress prop along with other feathers. Worked out great and came on time. Highly recommend.
